Multi strand and string, melt it to seal cut
Liked I can seal ends with a lighter and that it is strong multi-strand

It's 550 cord. It does its job.
I like this 550 cord. I can't tell the difference between it and what we used in the military. I use it all the time and am quite pleased with the purchase.

Quality control
I ordered this for various projects I have planned. Was feeling very good about it until it just arrived at my door. As soon as I picked up the package I knew this was not on the spool as shown. That by itself would have been ok as long as it was neatly couled and tied. But as you can see this is not the case. Very upset by this, I should not have to untangle and knit 1000' of cord. This is not acceptable

Unfortunate packaging
The paracord quality seems OK. The packaging is not so good. The cord comes wrapped on a 11X5 inch piece of heavy cardboard. You’ll need to find a way to let this revolve around it’s center while you unroll this or you’ll get a lot of twist in the cord. The edge of the cardboard also leaves a bad crease every 11 inches, hopefully this is not permanent. I order two packs, the black cord had the label taped to it under the plastic wrap which left some adhesive on the cord.

My New Boot Laces
I purchased some knee-high lace up boots from a thrift store. The laces on it were very thin and my cat decided to chew though one of them because he's rotten like that. I thought I could just buy another pair of laces, but it turns out that you cannot buy them as long as I needed them to be. I thought I would have to just use some kind of black twine. In looking for twine I stumbled upon videos about using paracord for bootlaces. Most I found was pretty expensive. I was happy to find this product because it was more affordable. I didn't want to spend too much just in case it didn't work out for me. It has worked out great! It's stiffer than regular laces, but that's not a big deal. So happy I found this.
