Based on the reviews and the description of this bench, we ordered it. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. It was easy to assemble after unpacking and freeing up the legs, etc which had been stapled to the underside of the bench. It is very well made and sturdy and looks great in our room. Highly recommend it.

Fantastic little bench - I ordered two so my sample size is twice most people's: First: Estimated delivery was November 25-December 1 and Fed Ex showed up on November 24. Shipping was included in the price, so Fed Ex early delivery was quite the bargain. Second: Seat and legs are solid wood, no pressed board Third: Problem-free assembly -- all the parts were there, the bolts fit the holes, the supplied Allen wrench works great to securely tighten the legs (though due to positioning of the bolts nearest the seat bottom, some tedious handwork is required); Fourth: Condition was perfect, absolutely no chips, scratches, warping, uneven staining, all legs are equal in length so no wobbling. Fifth: The benches look great, though I would not describe the finish as "rustic" - it's smooth and nicely brings out the wood grain, but isn't distressed or anything like it. Sixth: Large and amply sturdy enough for two adults to sit on but they probably aren't tall enough to use as a dining bench unless the tabletop is pretty low. We're using them as seating for putting on/taking off boots (in the garage, isn't that a terrible place to put such a pretty and practical piece of furniture?) Seventh: Compared to everything else we saw out there at this price (and up), this are a real value. Made in Vietnam, by the way. If I needed more like these I'd certainly buy them again in a flash. But these aren't going to fall apart any time soon.

We’ve used this for the better part of a year now and it’s held up well under our light use. It still looks brand new. The colors and style matched very nicely to our set of dining room furniture and it has a sturdy feel to it. I do remember it was a bit of a pain in the butt to put together, particularly the crossed part at the bottom. Overall, a very nice bench.

The stools we're easy to put together once I realized that they mislabeled the legs on both the benches I got, they needed to be reversed. They also needed to add that you need to leave two of the legs loose on either end so the braces can fit in the hole. I learned that on the first bench so putting the second bench together was a piece of cake. The quality of the benches is impressive, they're very heavy and sturdy. They're very appealing and extremely comfortable for a bench, very cushioned.
