It's ok, the spring tension to keep it locked onto whatever surface it fits is very good, but the joints are a bit wobbly so tends to move a little when in use, hence the ok!

The clip on this cell phone holder is totally impractical. You need at least a 4 inch projecting lip or shelf not more than 2 inches deep to attach it. I tried it in six popular cars and it would not attach to the dashboard of any of them. The clip is very sturdy and as a result will not fit into the air vents as it is too thick. This in another piece of cheap plastic for the rubbish bin.

Clips tightly to the dashboard and holds the phone tightly.

Looks ok but would fit into air vents of either of our cars, so was returned, no way of knowing until it came and tried. Seemed ok in right car.

At first I didn’t think this holder would be any good, but it has a lot of grip. Obviously it only works if there is a piece of dashboard with a lip to clip on to. The lip Ned’s to be wider at the edge for it to hold properly, otherwise it will keep slipping. The holder has a foam protective surface to clip on with, but it is far from non-slip. I’m driving a 2016 Toyota Yaris and clip it onto the shelf between the steering wheel and door, wedge it into the side of the shelf and it holds well. The phone holder part is also good - one of few which allows for a horizontal placement of the phone and doesn’t press any of the phone’s buttons because of the rounded shape of the ‘fingers’.I bought a magnetic holder as well and like them both (the magnetic one needs to be applied without the phone case, which I’m not a fan of), but I’m using this one for now until it breaks. Definitely recommend it :)

Have had several phone holders in the past but as phones get bigger/heavier the old holders have been too flimsy to be secure, when I saw this I thought that due to shorter bracket it would be firmer which it is. I knocked one star off as I have to take off my phone case as the holder doesn’t quite open enough to hold it (Redmi Note 10 Pro)
