I’ve been using this doorbell camera for five months. At first, the intercom was garbled and crackly. The connection skipped even though I have the highest internet speed offered and the doorbell showed a strong signal. The third week, it seemed to level out. Customer Service offered to replace it, but I chose to see if it would improve. And, it did.With the doorbell comes a 90-day free trial cloud storage. I purchased the annual cloud storage for $19.95. The doorbell needs the cloud storage in order to access the videos since there isn't the option of a SD card.Once this doorbell seemed to magically work out the issues I was having, I decided to purchase one for the front door. Again, there were skipping issues and the internet connection was showing only fair. I could hear the cars, but never see them due to the skipping of the live view. This eventually worked itself out and the invisible cars began to appear.At first, I was unable to playback since I had yet to accept the 90-day trial and choose a plan. I don’t like that the two doorbells require separate subscriptions. I’ve had other subscriptions that allow a set number of cameras per subscription, which is a better service. Still, $19.95 isn’t extravagant and based on my past experience with other cameras, I discovered that multiple cameras on one subscription can slow down access and tie up recording, making me miss activity on other cameras.However, the instructions state not to place the doorbell where the sun hits it directly since it will drain the battery faster. I had no choice with the first doorbell since the door faces east. It is the door with the main traffic going in and out so that activity also depletes battery life. The front door batteries last longer, but there is rarely any activity at that door, so it’s difficult for me to assess if the east location is depleting the battery faster.During the day, the camera image is very clear and sharp. The night vision is black and white and is fairly clear as long as it isn’t raining since both cameras are exposed and the lenses sometime get splotches/blurs. If they were on a porch, I’m sure this wouldn’t be an issue. Still, the night vision mode could be improved.The motion detection is something I had to play around with although there is a human detection mode, but I then miss animal activity when I place it on that mode. There is the option of range of motion detention that is helpful. Overall, this doorbell is superior to more expensive doorbells I’ve tried and returned.

The day and night vision is good also the audio but I don’t like the fact that the battery dies quick and you have to pay money in order to gain access to your videos either every 3 months or a year

Batteries die fast. Quality is ok in daytime but garbage at night. "Motion" sensor goes off with the change of light if light clouds pass near the sun and flicker, and that was enough for the camera to automatically turn the motion sensor off completely so I stopped getting notified and it stopped recording any movement. For the price I paid for it it works wonderfully. I should have put more money down and gotten a better camera though for what my needs are. Like I said, for what I paid for this, it works wonderfully. I bought two, one for the front and one for the back door. The first camera I set up it didn't want to connect to the wifi or pair with my phone. Took all day before it would connect with either. The second one connected right away so not sure what the issue there was. I don't like that it is so easy to remove the camera from the thing that holds it to the door. It would be extremely easy for anyone to snatch it up and take off with it. I repeat, for the price I paid for it, it works wonderfully.

I was skeptical about purchasing this product as I'm not familiar with what is good and what is bad as far as doorbell cameras are concerned. My first one was purchased by my Ex husband who also installed it and that was that. I moved recently and I didn't know how to remove my old DC from the doorbell so I deleted the app and left it behind 🙃.I desperately wanted a new one so I started my search and this popped up. The reviews were wonderful so I decided to try it for myself. I LOVE IT!! The resolution is great. The battery really does last a long time and best of all I didn't have to connect it toy doorbell. I needed something I could manage to put up on my own and this DC gave me just that. I just stuck it to close to frame by the doorbell ans wallah! DC done! So if you are the best with connecting wires and such this is definitely the way to go. The only reason I'm giving it 4 🌟 is because the sticky tape it comes with didn't really work for me. It kept falling off so I nailed it and used a small amount of Gorilla Glue. It literally stormed the next three days and it never moved again.

It works just as I expected to work, I just don’t like the fact that I have to take it off my door to charge it.

I’m enjoying my ring camera it’s clear view and sound is good

I live w my infant in a 4th floor walkup and i bought this for peace of mind and my trust issues! My best friend lives at the end of the hall and it helps her out too! Night vision is awesome, the sound is great, the motion sensor is fully adjustable to how you need it, you can change the distance of motion detection (if you have a yard) you can do almost everything the ring cameras do as far as sidewalk/driveway detection, emitting certain areas (grass, walkways, streets) from the cameras sensors, as well as humanoid detection features. Everything saves to a cloud that deletes after 14 days but saving certain clips is easy!!! for the price its a great buy and im getting my friends one for their birthday.

The only reason I’m returning is because the battery did not last long on me. Maybe it’s human error but I tried messing with the settings. I just couldn’t do it but the picture quality it’s so clear I really liked it.
