I'm very happy with this product and I'm making this review after years of using it

This is scary strong. Don't buy this if you are squeamish to pain. It hurts more, much more, than a police taser (you need to take the taze to experience it - if you carry one). I've had 20-50-80 mile electric fence zappers before, and none of them come close to this one. This energizes my top electric fence line. I have two barbwires below that by 3" each and then a four foot goat fence below the barbs. Only 500' square. More from critters getting into my area then out. This bleeds over into the barbs (which still really hurts when you touch them, especially on wet days) somehow through the plastic electric fence line holders, and on wet days it even energizes the entire 4' goat fence, though not that strong. I must have a short some place, but I'm actually good with this as is. I can hear it making zap noises every second on rainy days, or on my AM radio, but doesn't seem to affect the potency. It has been flawless. I've heard it work (as in screeches when I've been here or on security cameras) for bear, fox, coyotes, bobcats and squirrels. They never return. It will produce a 2-3 inch arc if you place something on purpose to see it short. I actually think it may be flawed it is so powerful, but it does pulse, not constant. I wouldn't use it if you have a lot of dry vegetation touching your fence, I seriously think it could start a fire. I hope I've clearly communicated the power of this thing, I'm not exaggerating, just trying to make you aware of what this can do. It may not be what most want.

Ordered this seven months ago as a back up in case something happened to my other charger.Yesterday was the day I needed it and right out of the box. It did not work – at all. Not only that, the ring connectors fell off of the wire. Obviously they were not crimped well. The positive post was loose so when you try to screw on the cap (with my own ring connector that I had to crimp on), it just spun with the cap. I suspect this is what probably broke the energizing wire inside of the unit. Complete and total failure.Not to mention you must use their rings on the posts because there’s not enough space to directly wire in 14 gauge hot wire.Of course it is now well outside the return policy and I’m stuck with it.Save your time, money and hassle and purchase something else.

This charger put off a good shock. The only real issue I found with it so far is that you have to use the leads it comes with. I thought I could remove the nuts to use my wire because I didn't trust the clamps and the fine wire leads it came with. When loosening the nuts, I realized that the bolts they are on are not attached in any way and can fall inside the charger when the nuts are pulled off.

I also have a more expensive Zebra brand 10 mile charger so I have that to compare it with. I much prefer this Agriotter 10 mile charger. My electric fence tester reads around 5-6 thousand volts zap on the the Zebra brand while this Agriotter is best described as "off the chart" for the testers maximum 7k measurement. It lights up the 7k lights brightly and is prone to shocking the ground loudly while I insert the ground probe into the soil. The only downside is it does drain the battery faster than the weaker Zebra brand, but that is to be expected with the increased power output. I was using the Zebra brand on some escape prone pigs and switched over to the Agriotter and that put a stop to their escapes. I gave it only 4 stars on the weather resistance because I read from other reviews that it was not very rain proof. I cut a plastic milk jug in half and installed this charger up inside providing complete rain protection. It doesn't get rained on this way so I cant speak to its weatherproof capabilities. If I buy another charger for a different pasture, I will buy another one of these.

I have 2 goats and 2 Great Pyrenees…all are escaped artists. Put this up, ran my corded wire, and plugged in. With everyone watching…I tested it on myself first, so I know what they would be feeling. HELLO!!!! Yeah it works and I gave out a sound that my wife had never heard before…ooooh she could not stop laughing. As soon as I quit dancing, my most stubborn goat gives it a try…she went from goat to bucking bronco in less than a second. My male Pyrenees comes to see what all the fuss is about…zap…yip, yell, and howl. We looked at the other two…they gave this look of NOPE, WE’ER GOOD. So long story short, the testers survived with no marks and no one has touched it since👍

The connection to power the box is to loose, have had to replace the cord twice, it still shuts down at times because of it. Makes a clicking noise to let you know it is on.

my old electric engergiser for the horses fencing broke after many years of usage. I ordered this dual one and the shipping was so quick. very nice product so far..we have only had it hooked up for 3 days now... so hopefully we will have no issues
