Great addition to any handicapped application
These are very sturdy and come with very heavy weight mollies if you can get them into studs. Very smooth movement up and down, wish they came in other colors and finishes.

Wall mounted, well made, sturdy. Folds into grab bar
The media could not be loaded. Aloha, everyone. This is a well made, and sturdy bathroom safety handrail. It's made of metal with a solid Beechwood rail. I'm 62 and as I get older getting up from a seated position becomes more difficult. I have stenosis in my back and neck so that also complicates things for me. I like how this rail is foldable, just a push up and it clips in place, then it becomes a safety grab bar. So it's a good design, your getting two things in one product, and both help. The long bar with the knob attached is for helping me stand up from the toilet. The folded up design turns it into a grab bar for getting in and out of the bathtub. So that's great, I needed help and here it is. Yay! This is solid beech wood, so if it gets wet, it's not a problem. I enjoy living independently without having to rely on a nurse's aid or anyone. I know as I get older, I need help doing simple things, like standing up from a seated position. So, I'm glad there are products that can help me with that. I also take care getting in and out of the bath, so as not to fall in or out of the tub. This bar is well mounted on the wall, and is very sturdy, giving me a bit of confidence to move about on my own. I know it hard for me to sometimes accept aging and having some problems with balance. So I'm very glad for products like this that can help. No instructions came with this, but it's a pretty straight forward install. Just drill 4 holes and insert anchors, then just use the included screws. The bigger screws were included, the smaller screws I had already. Please, don't be afraid to ask someone for help installing this. Ok, I hope this helps. Thank you. Sincerely, Charlie

Firm feeling, and wood makes it easier to talk aging relatives into allowing installation
It can be difficult into talking one's aging relatives to allowing safety rails. Folks would rather risk falling and breaking their hips than have the place they poop not look fashionable. So having this bar is an elegant attempt to side step that. I don't know how long the finish will stand up to repeated disinfectant wipes, but it might, time will tell. One nice touch is the rounded corners of the rectangular bracket you bolt to the wall. On some other foldout rails I've seen they have sharper corners. This makes it much more likely to act as a stress concentrator if mounted on a tiled wall, increasing the likelihood of the tile under it cracking with use. This has a nice radius on the corners that may prevent that.

Heavy Duty!
I ordered this foldable toilet grab bar for my mother’s bathroom. She will go into her bathroom, sit on the toilet, and read for hours (I am not exaggerating). Unfortunately, she has a tendency to drift off while on the throne which means she ends up on the floor. I am hoping the bar will prevent that from happening. It is a heavy duty bar. It is big. You need to have studs in order to mount this on the wall. It comes with four screws and anchors. There are no instructions except how to life up the bar (who needs instructions for that). The wood bar is thick (it could cause damage if it fell on a person). It is the right length to protect a person while they are on the toilet. It is a good item to have if you have an elderly person living in your home. It is easy to put in place. Unfortunately, I was unable to use it. It is too heavy (the drywall needs to be replaced in the bathroom) for our home. I passed it along to a neighbor who could use it. This is a helpful item.

well made
Great quality. It's heavy and sturdy and much better than the other one I have. It helps a lot for support to get up and stay at where it is and I feel very secure.
