it's our go to whenever my baby is fussy and not soothed by nursing, being changed, burped, or held... it works!!! so grateful we head about this! AND the DVD is so easy! i was at the end of my rope when we ordered this, 7 days of screaming for 8-10 hours when this arrived, so reading the book was not an option. This DVD helped the minute I turned it on. the 4th trimester helped me to understand my newborn in a different way, that she was still a fetus... this completely changed the way I thought and helped me to find patience I never knew I had. Really really really grateful. Thank you Dr. Harvey!!! Highly recommended for all new parents! (I would of been stoked to have this before my daughter was born...but grateful to have gotten it 4 weeks in!)

This Product really demonstrates the true necessities when soothing a newborn on their first few weeks on life out of the womb. You have to invision that the baby outside of the womb, should be considered a 4th trimester. & the babies have to learn how to deal with all of the new sensations it now feels. The Video talks about 5 important techniques ( & WOW you WILL BE AMAZED @ how well they work), called the "5 S's" The one that I think really works well, is the Shushing...pull your baby's ear really close to your mouth & make a Shushing sound, directly into the lil' one's hearing...I've found that to be #1 when babies fussing and crying :) Grab this video & study those moves...they are life savers!

Most parenting books take forever to read and aren't very helpful. This video only takes an hour and is extremely helpful. It's faster and better than the book because you can actually see what he's talking about, much more useful than reading about it. I highly recommend this video for new parents.

Some disks are written for distribution in certain places, called locale. They will not play (easily) if your software says you are not in that locale. The content was great, but happily I have some computer savvy, or, I wouldn't have been able to see that.

Every new parent should have this book. It worked for my grands and every other new parent I gave it to as a gift.

Definitely a good video for first time parents! Do try and rent over buying as all you need is to watch it once and you're set!

The video does have some great techniques for a young baby. Once my daughter hit 5 months and no longer wanted to be swaddled, that part didn't work any longer. However, the sound cd is great background noise.
