✅ PROBABLY THE BEST OUT OF ALL THAT IVE USED!
I use this as potting substrate for my alocasia and philodendron, as well as for moss poles. This has to be the best that I have tried— and I have tried A LOT of different brands from a ton of different sellers.✔ This particular brand is very CLEAN with minimal broken bits, debris, and dust. I always thoroughly soak and rinse my moss before using it and this is the only time that the water ran completely clear and stayed clear.✔ There are definitive, fluffy, and separate strands of moss that are very dense and lush, and visibly clean.✔ This easily separates with less pieces that are tangled. You can actually pick out the separate strands of moss and every piece is consistently fluffy, dense, thick, and equally long as the last piece.✔ You a good amount in a single package. Because the moss is dried and compressed you have to allow the block to soak and absorb water and it literally quadruples in size and amount. Even though there's a lot in one package, I use quite a bit for my (over !00) plant collection. so I usually purchase these blocks in groups of 3-5.✔ These retain water and moisture exceptionally well. Once it dries out it doesnt shrink but rather keeps its form, allowing plenty of aeration and holding plenty of water to keep the plant roots moist and healthy.❌ This moss doesn't contain any sustenance for plants thought— remembernto fertilizer Because this moss is considered inert and contains no minerals, vitamins, or nutrients to further support the plant like regular potting soil would, I recommend that you use some kind of amendment in addition to this moss, or just remember to regularly fertilize your plants. This has worked way better st keeping syngonium, alocasia, and philodendron, healthy, free from root rot, free from fungus gnats, and free from over or under watering. While this doesn't work on all plants, this works exceptionally well for all aroids. Out of all the many brands and sellers that I have tried, this has been the most outstanding as the best quality in regards to cleanliness, ease of use, functionality, and also, overall aesthetics — it's a beautiful reddish, strawberry blonde color to a rich tan shade that is consistent throughout. I just really wish that this moss was available in much larger packs.

Tiny sheet turns into good quality moss
I bought this sphagnum moss before and it came in a brick shape, so I was alrmed when this tiny sheet arrived. I'm not sure if the quantity is less than what I bought previously since I don't have the packaging anymore. However, quality is just as good, there are long pieces and minimal debris or twigs. This also puffed up and was ready to use in seconds.

One of the BEST sphagnum moss I have ever used!
Don't be fooled by thinking that you are purchasing a "cheap" sphagnum moss like I was! I was looking for a small amount of moss for the cheapest price in order to save some propagations from a plant dying of root rot. Initially when I opened the Amazon box, I laughed at myself and was thinking "Well I got what I paid for" because the package was literally just a 1/4 in thick, if that. But...... the second I had placed it into water, the magic happened! Needless to say, I had to "east my own words" because this moss is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!! It is light and fluffy and very high grade. I have paid $30-40 more for "name branded" moss that was absolute garbage compared to this stuff!! I am going to stock up on this stuff because I fear the price will increase once it becomes a fan favorite of other sellers. The amount it produces is surprisingly substantial. I only used barely 1/4 of the brick and see how much it resulted! (See picture). Absolutely best product yet!

Best sphagnum I’ve used
I started growing carnivorous plants last year, and I’ve found they love some good sphagnum. I’ve received small amounts with purchases of plants, and that moss was pretty good. The orchid sphagnum moss from hardware stores is by far the worst. One, this stuff is VERY compacted. I was only planning on doing one 4 inch saucer for propagation. I literally broke off a bit more than I could handle and had to fill a second 3.5 inch saucer. Oh well, more plants lol. At least I know I’ll have plenty of good moss to pot the new babies in. The missing area in the pic filled in the 2 small saucers. Two, this is the least dusty/debris-ish sphagnum I’ve used. The pic of the sink is how little flew off when breaking it up.

Good product but messy packaging
This is a great way to buy moss, because it is vacuum sealed and seems like it is nothing but when you add water it produces a ton of product. I use this moss for my reptile tank and it works great and is easy to use. I do wish that this came in a resealable bag or something similar because it is messy when you try to break off pieces of moss from the larger brick. But if you are using all the moss at once, it is a perfect product!

A little goes a LONG way!
Do not be deceived by the compression! This is a TON of moss! I was able to build multiple moss pole for my plants, as well as large prop boxes, and prop stations to propagate multiple plants! All it takes is a pinch! Once you place this in water, it’s actually quite fascinating to watch it expand and grow! Haha! I even started to add a little water here and there just to watch it absorb it til dry and add some more lol. (Childish, I know 🙂). The bag that I have has lasted me MONTHS, and I still have some left. It’s highly absorbent, and also retains moisture pretty well before drying out. My larger pole takes maybe 3 days before needing to be soaked again, which is great honestly. The pieces of moss are quite large as well and I do like to chop it with scissors, just a hack to get even more if needed! Definitely a bang for your buck! Great pricing!

My absolute fav
The best quality I’ve found so far… so fluffy, no stems, and once you rehydrate it is a lot for that price ! I will only purchase this brand from now on

Expands Nicely, Great for Water Retention
Surprisingly a lot of product for such a small, thin package. Once water is added, it expands quite a bit! I mixed it into my regular potting mix to improve water retention, and it’s been working really well. A great add-in, especially for plants that like consistent moisture. There are a few sticks, but not too bad.
