Handy little kit, heatshrink does indeed shrink 4:1 as advertised, the glue layer is easy to melt and effective. Only downside I could think of is that the sizes are on the large size so you might need another kit of smaller sizes to cover all wires sizes.

I needed some butt connectors for a wiring project I had planned. Originally I was going to buy just the few I needed but soon realised that it wasn't an economical way at 50p a connector! I decided to go for this 200 piece set for only £15.99; this works out at around 8p per connector, much better value. At this price I wasn't holding out for great quality but I have been pleasantly surprised. The plastic feels very hard but once crimped and heated it shrinks down nicely, creating a permanent bond between the two pieces of cable. The adhesive flows well and I am very confident with the bond produced. The organiser box they come in is also very handy as they all live safely in my toolbox (gone are the days of scraping the bottom for that one piece you desperately need!) You get the following sizes and quantities: Red 90pcs 22-18 AWG Blue 90pcs 16-14 AWG Yellow 20pcs 12-10 AWG Overall I am very impressed with these connectors, buy with confidence!

I was really expecting this to be the usual cheap rubbish that you get and not to really shrink as much as they claim. I was so wrong, this stuff is easy to work with, shrinks so much that it makes a really tight fit nd the added bonus of the glue inside that when it gets hot enough runs to the edge and creates what looks to be a totally water proof seal. I have used this on some wiring connections outside (12v for car charging) and it has stayed waterproof despite some really wet weather, followed by freezing temperature and then by wet weather again. Think I will buy some more of this make in different sizes and colours if it is available.

These are much better then your bog standard block connectors for connecting wires together.

Seriously, I've used these for a ton of things lately. To note a few: 1. They make for great shoelace, hoodie string, and mask drawstring tip replacements. No more frayed ends! 2. I spliced a few over some cords that were twisted and crimped to straighten them out, worked fantastic. 3. Cutting two of the larger ones in half, I adhered them to the kickstand legs on my laptop case to prevent them from sliding on my countertop. Would HIGHLY recommend a cheap heat gun to accompany this. If I can find the one I've used, I'll link it back here.
