Sound Town Class-D Plate Amplifier for PA DJ Speaker Cabinets, Loudspeakers, 150W RMS, w/EQ, TWS Bluetooth (STPA-160D)

I used this to convert a passive stage monitor(12 inch.) To a powered monitor, installation was a breeze (thanks to my common sense) as there are no instructions but figured it out with out much trouble. I received it sooner than expected and in good shape. It works great,good clear sound and more volume than I will ever need, I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to do the same upgrade. Is my original Behringer board burn down burned out on me weeks after I bought it. When I found this and matching model, I immediately bought it, easily installed it and it worked better than the original.

I used this to build an FRFR combo amp for guitar. It runs very quietly, it doesn't create noise in the signal, it is very well constructed and so far everything works. I had to exchange some emails with the maker regarding some technical issues that were answered as promptly and effectively as could be expected; however, providing product documentation (either in the box or on their website) would be a better way for customers to get the technical data they need, hence four stars instead of five.

A little under powered for my system. It has hard clipping. Cuts out when your drawing too much power. I could have used another 100 watts or so for my speakers.

Product profile stated 400 watt rms full range output, but the output is already crossed over for a 2 way system. Example, full range speaker with horn or tweeter.I wanted a full range amplifier output without any crossover. Unit is useless to me, as I was buying it for a 3 way speaker system I am building.

1st of all, I don't normally do these, but in this case I felt obligated.2nd, the amp so far is as advertized. Works great. After getting it fitted and installed, I must say I was pleasantly surprized with the power. This is the Plate amp 400Amp D type.3rd, if you have never installed one of these, you should know, Sound Town supplies you with zero documentation with the package it comes in. So, you will not get any technical specifications or ever directions for the install. I had to email them to get info on what wires go where. Nothing on their website either. I included in this review in case you are considering this amp.Lastly, the bluetooth feature is very good. The bluetooth switch must set on when you power up to be in bluetooth mode.Overall, they get 4 stars because of the lack documentation.Update: After emailing them, they were very responsive and sent a nice wiring diagram and stated that have now have the these pictures available on their website.
