AMT AMT1362 Coca-Cola 1968 Chevy El Camino SS 1:25 Model Kit

This AMT model car kit is fantastic. It comes with a wealth of details for the exterior and interior, even detailed wiring and engine hoses for a more realistic finish. I highly recommend it. I also highly recommend the seller for their thoughtfulness in ensuring my order was perfectly packaged and for the speed with which I received it.

This a a fantastic kit from the time when the US manufacturers were competing with the Japanese for quality design, fit, and detail in model car kits. The engine, interior, and chassis are all finely detailed and everything fits well. It comes with two nice sets of wheels, Chevy Rallye steel wheels and American Racing Torque Thrust alloy wheels. The assembly is easy, with modern style locating features for the parts. The subject is a really cool vintage vehicle, and even the soap box derby car is nice. I sanded off the vinyl roof detail (I didn't want that on mine), which was much easier to do than I had anticipated. I highly recommend this kit. I do wish it came with accurate factory Rallye stripe decals for the hood, in black, white, and red, though. The ones included mimic red aftermarket stripes that go with the excellent Coca Cola decals, which include red and white versions for painting the truck in white, red, or two-tone liveries of your own design.

I have been modeling cars for 60 years. Some kits made by the same manufactures can be a real pain in the butt while others are well made with ample instructions. This is an awesome model. It builds well, good fitment. It is a great kit!

What's not to love about this model? Everything fit together perfectly, and the level of detail is beyond anything you'd find in most standard scale models. Even under the hood, it included air conditioning lines, heater hoses, and an air conditioner pump. The attention to detail is simply fantastic. It was an absolute pleasure to assemble.

Kit itself is good, price was good, but they just slapped a shipping label on model box. Corner was crushed, and I was lucky it didn't damage plastic kit.
