Secret Friends (#JustFriends Book 5)

I love this series! I haven't put my phone down since I bought them. I look forward to reading the next book and many more to come from this author!

This is the 5th book in this series, this is James and Ainsley's story. When we meet Ainsley she is back home on vacation for her high school reunion. When we meet James is getting kicked out of his mom's house. James is best friends with Scott who is Ainsley's brother. By a crazy chance of fate, they both end up sleeping in Scott's living room. And that's when we are taken for a ride as these two fight so hard and not really all that hard to stay away from each other. At times James is a bit childish and Ainsley was way to hard on her self. But overall I enjoyed this story.

Ainsley is back in town for her highschool reunion. While there she stays at her brother's place who actually has her best friend Katie staying there and her brother's best friend James there. She has actually had a crush on James since forever and James feels the same. However, they dance around their feelings because they have both been hurt in the past. With help from Katie and James Ainsley gets some of her confidence back. With Ainsley in James' life he might even change his playboy ways. When Ainsley goes into the store and runs into a girl who will be at her reunion James saves her my saying they are together. Then Ainsley does that same thing with his sister. Will this lie actually become a reality?

This is a love story between Ainsley and her brothers best friend James. Ainsley’s home for high school reunion and crashing on her brothers couch. So as much as I wanted to root for a good love story and friends with benefits plot, Ainsley and James were too immature to handle something as complicated as attraction and love. The dialogue was horrible and skipped all over the place leaving me confused. Certain situations could have been played out better and if the conversations James had with his sisters and parents are true of today’s twenty something year olds they need a jab to the face. Ainsley needed to show growth and confidence and having your hair done in different colors won’t do that in one night. James was older but his lifestyle reflected that of a teenager that just graduated high school. Get a real job and a place of your own already! Felt incomplete and unresolved.I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I received this book for free through LibraryThing’s Member Giveaways.This was a super quick read that I enjoyed. It’s a pretty straight forward romance, nothing I haven’t already seen before. That being said, I still really liked this. Towards the end I was worried that I wouldn’t like the ending, but thankfully I did like it.Overall, if you’re looking for a quick contemporary romance check out this book. I haven’t read the others in this series but if they are anything like this book, they should be just as good.

I enjoyed reading this book by Marie Cole.. Secret Friends is a wonderful.story about Ainsley and her brother's best friend James.. The story has it all, the beauty of small town, uninhibited people, childhood crush etc., And James is particularly so fun to.read about!! Their chemistry is pretty good and I had a great time getting to know them..I volunteered to review the book for an advanced copy through Booksprout

I have read the wholes series of these books just friends etcThey are a must to read..I couldn't put any of the five different books of the series down..I promise you if u read them you won't be disappointed
