The best ever! Safer for my severe asthma & allergies, works well for dark hair!
My long search for the perfect dry shampoo is over! This stuff is amazing! Just shake a tiny bit of powder into the palm of your hand or a small container (I use a small plastic container), then swirl a powder/blush type makeup brush into the powder, tap off any excess (just as you might with mineral foundation or face powder), then apply on either side of your part (not directly on the part, but about 1/2 inch on either side), along the hairline, and throughout your hair, parting and tapping the powder brush as you go. No mess! I’ve dedicated a retractable travel powder brush for this purpose for added convenience. Wait a few minutes (or ideally apply before bedtime) before brushing through. Allowing some time for the powder to soak up excess oil near the scalp is essential, and this is true of any dry shampoo. But then after a few minutes, BAM! Instantly clean looking, shiny hair that’s full of volume!I have dark brown hair so it’s been really hard to find a dry shampoo that didn’t create a dull “powdered wig” effect. So I was honestly shocked to see a head full of clean, shiny, hair after brushing through this dry shampoo! It seriously works, and I wasn’t expecting that it would work this well! It adds a nice amount of volume, which is awesome because my hair is pretty fine and tends to get weighed down by most hair products I’ve tried. Doesn’t create much (if any) residue, so my hair still feels natural, just like hair should feel— I despise hair spray and most products because I can’t stand anything that makes my hair feel sticky, stiff, or gummy in any way. But in addition to using this to stretch the time between washes, I’d definitely apply this to freshly washed and dried hair if I just needed to create some more volume for styling.I’ve tried SO many dry shampoo products— salon brands, drugstore brands, and have tried making my own, but nothing has ever worked as well as this. For a long time, I just settled on using Batiste because it was fairly cheap. It worked just ok, but I stuck with it mainly because I could *mostly* tolerate one specific fragrance they make. But after using it, the product in my hair would inevitably bother my severe allergies and asthma a little more than normal until wash day. And all the other dry shampoos I tried before that would trigger instant migraines or immediate asthma or allergy issues. But with this, the light lavender fragrance is sourced from natural essential oils, not synthetic fragrances, so I suppose that’s why it doesn’t bother me at all. It’s pleasantly scented, mildly scented, and makes my hair smell fresh, but it doesn’t linger like some heavy cloud of perfume around me, like one with synthetic fragrance might. And the non-aerosol approach is much easier on my lungs! I can already tell that this will last a lot longer than those messy aerosol cans will, too. So I’m NEVER going back to that aerosol garbage! Next time I’m getting the big bottle, because I’ve finally found something that works!

The best non aerosol dry shampoo
This is my favorite dry shampoo! The fact that it’s not an aerosol is key and exactly what I’ve been looking for! It works great, has limited ingredients and smells amazing. My hair get super greasy after only 2 days and this allows me to go up to 5 days!!! I get compliments even on day 5 on how good my hair looks! Because you apply it directly on the scalp it takes longer than as if you were using an aerosol spray because you have to rub it in, but it’s worth the extra time. This bottle may seem small, but I’ve been using it for a couple months anlrwady and it’s not even half way gone!!!! A little goes a long way!!!

Works like a charm!
My hair easily gets oily on a daily basis and after some research as well as treating myself to getting a perm, I needed to find something to help substitute my previous routine of washing every day. I use this every other day now when I don't wash my hair. It absorbs the oil really well and keeps my thin hair looking more alive during the days I don't wash. My hair does end up laying flat by the end of the day so not all day volume but it still does keep it non-oily. I love that it is all natural which I look for, and the scent is mild, not overwhelming. My only issue with it is that it is messy. The powder doesn't have a problem coming out of the bottle but comes out in small bursts. I apply directly to my scalp so I make sure that I am not wearing the top I want to wear for the day when applying this. If a different applicator could be made for less mess, I would easily give it 5 stars! It still works really well for this issue not to be a deal breaker for me. Definitely recommend if you can live with that.

staple dry shampoo
i've been using this dry shampoo for 8 years now and love it. there's a little bit of a learning curve, but it makes my hair look and feel a lot fresher than other dry shampoos ever did. i can go 2-3 days between washes with this, and it doesn't leave behind any gunky residue. total game changer for me. i have fine, thick hair and used to have to wash daily because i would get greasy so quickly. this is an amazing product. smells good too!

Almost good…
I had high hopes for this stuff, but just didn’t do it. For context, I have thin straight light colored hair. If it wasn’t for dry shampoo, I’d have to wash my hair every day. I tried a different brand before this one that I loved, comes in a small container you “tap” against your hair, but I wasn’t sure if the cost was worth it. When it ran out, I put some of this stuff in the tap container. It seemed to do okay for one day, but my hair still felt dirty. It didn’t matter how much I used. It was good at hiding the fact it was oily, but I could still feel it. My guess is the lavender oil diminishes its efficacy. The smell is subtle, but I’d definitely prefer unscented. I’ll still use what I already purchased, but I don’t plan to get it again.
