Can duplicate keys be made locally? We need more than 2 keys for the lockbox

I don’t see why not, we haven’t tried it but the key is the size of a filing cabinet key.

What's the point of the lock if the hinge pin is totally exposed from the outside.

True that is has an external cabinet hinge. However, the cabinet is a place to organize your keys, (and never intended to be a safe) for either home or office, with a combination lock to keep the kids out. That being said, getting the hinge out would take some considerable effort to drive the small/long pin out. Easier to pull off the wall.

Received it new from Amazon and can't turn the knob and/or open the box using "000". Any ideas?

Brand new the combination is not set until you set your own. If it won’t open and directions don’t tell you how to open then I would return for new one
