*This converts your existing holster to a chest rig, it does not come with a holster* I bought this for a hiking trip I was taking for easier access to my sidearm in late fall, the straps themselves are adjustable and were fairly comfortable, my OWB holster has no padding so that part got a bit annoying but was fine since I was layered and I’m sure if I slightly loosened the straps under my arms or had a holster with any padding, it would have made it even better. I didn’t want to spend 150+ on a specialized holster for my CZ P07, since I only need it when I go hiking. It can be hard enough finding products that are a good value for the money for it to begin with for it so I was happy to find this product that allowed me to use an existing holster for a fraction of the price. Retention is dependent on the holster you use, as this product does not come with a holster, it is just the straps to convert an existing one to a chest rig. It was extremely easy to install and use. If you just want something quick for a hike and have an extra holster I would highly recommend this.

The harness appears to be of good quality materials and seems well put together. To be clear it does not come with a holster. I subtracted a star because my first harness didn't come with any mounting hardware. I just used the hardware that was on my existing holster and it worked fine but I would have preferred to have some longer screws do to the thickness of the leather pieces you use to attach the buckles to the holster. I saw in several reviews that the leather had a tendency to stain and I would agree. I soaked my leather pieces for a few minutes then blotted them dry and clamped them after feeding them though the slots of the buckles. I let them dry over night and this seemed to work great and they held their shape. I own several kenai chest holsters and this harness seems like a good alternative if you don't want to spend the money on the real deal. It's great if you already own a kydex holster for your favorite EDC and want to convert it to a chest holster. I ended up buying a second harness because I want to use it for a holster for a pistol/light combination that GFI does not offer. As a final note this harness will only work with a kydex Outside the Waistband (OTW) holster with detachable beltloops or clips.

This was pretty awesome. Built this with an OTW holster I found here for about $25. Combined the 2 and saved myself $100 from what appears to be the exact same thing elsewhere. Wore it on numerous hikes and found it to be comfortable and it held its fit with a fully loaded Sig 10mm. Absolutely recommend and pretty easy to put together.

Good quality but too expensive for what you get!

Why is this $60? It's literally just a strap with a buckle. I got it because it was on someone's gift list but I absolutely do not think this is worth the price whatsoever!!

I've wanted one of the Kenai chest holsters for a while but couldn't justify spending $120+ on a situational holster I'd only be wearing once in a blue moon. This kit let me convert a holster I already had into a chest rig. I thought I'd use a heat gun to reshape the holster (since I noticed chest holsters tend to be flat and my existing kydex holster is curved to conform to the hip) but once I set it up I found it to be fine just the way it is. It would be easy enough to buy a cheap kydex holster and reshape it if you wanted a dedicated chest holster though. This kit included all the necessary rigging and fasteners. All I needed to do was pop the clips off my holster and install everything. I saw a few other reviews express disappointment in the included hardware and lack of instructions but I found the hardware to be more than sufficient and the setup to be self explanatory.
