I absolutely love PanPastels. If you've never heard of this medium they are a highly saturated color powder that is compressed into a little plastic round pan. You can use a variety of little sponge applicators to apply this color to your craft projects. They come in many colors but this kit is a great start and includes a few applicators to get you started. You don't need much of the product because the color is so heavily saturated. The incredible thing I love is how blendable they are. You can mix the colors to create a different color. I use them mainly for my paper floral projects to add realistic bits of color to the petals of a flower or leaf as seen in nature. But I've also used them to create a background mat for a card or as in the picture I blend several fall shades together on a piece of cardstock before I die cut the falling leaves. They're a little pricey but I believe once you've purchased one you will never need to repurchase it because the color goes a LONG way. There are many videos of amazing artists that use this medium. Go take a look. But I warn you if you do, you'll want them!

Bright colors, easy to use

I do wish that these had come with a cover, but was able to keep them in their protective storage container while I waited for the covers that I was able to order separately.

This is the perfect touch to my beautiful flowers I made with Susan's Garden Thinlit dies! The colors are fabulous, bright and so, so easy to use!!! Well worth the money! The chalk I was using can't compare to these gorgeous colors!

I received my order in a completely unacceptable condition. The pastels were completely broken upon arrival — the black pastel had shattered and stained all the other colors, turning the entire set into a mess of unusable powder. This was incredibly disappointing, as I was expecting a quality product, not a box of dust. On top of that, I had to spend over two hours cleaning up the mess it made in my apartment. This experience was very frustrating and far below any reasonable standard of packaging or quality control.

I haven't used the paints yet as we are still cleaning up the mess left everywhere. Apparently, the product was damaged during its trip to be delivered. I opened the first box, and the paint, which is a very fine powder, had made its way from the packaging to the box to my desk, carpet, and tile floor. It was all over, and the more you wiped, the more there was it seemed. I have to say, the product does seem to be good quality, I just don't want it anywhere except where I want it. I can't get a refund because I opened it. Just a heads up and warning. Open it outside on a still, no wind day.

I used it as a background for my colored pencil picture. It was easy to use especially after watching the video link that was on the package.

I have been playing with it and love it!
