It works perfectly
Replacing an older remote for a receiver from the 90s could have been impossible. But this worked perfectly out if the box. It replaced an Onkyo RC-623M remote. Other listings want $30 for a replacement remote. Yeah, no. This was modestly priced, new stock, and less confusing than our original one.

Works well with ONKYO TX-NR509 RECEIVER
Works well with ONKYO TX-NR509 RECEIVER. I had some issues with my stock remote. Turns out it was likely OK. I did the heat gun reflow on the DSP chip, and after, my receiver worked again. However remote wasn't responding. I ordered this remote. It didn't work either. Darn. Googled some more... no avail. Then I dug into receivers settings. Turns out there's a remote default ID of 1-3. I set mine to 1, and this remote worked great! I think the IR may even be stronger than the stock remote. Buttons match up perfectly with my stock remote too. (which also works now). I have this receiver in the kitchen and fills family room and deck, so extra remote is fine by me! I recommend. Hope this helps. Why don't reviewer ever state their model receiver!?

Works great as an RC-799 replacement
For my ONKYO surround sound controller power button and volume buttons stopped working on the original remote!I've had this surround sound system for about 10 years, Second one ive had!The controller is not an exact match but works great all the buttons i use are there and it even has the red led so you know your controller has power! 5 stars would highly recommend! This increased the value of ́my system for resell when I'm ready for an upgrade!!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Works perfectly on my Onkyo TX-SR608
Very inexpensive option to replace my damaged original Onkyo receiver remote. I had exhausted all options of getting a replacement and stumbled upon this. So glad I decided to try it because it was seamless. I got the remote the next day I ordered it through amazing Amazon next day ship service, threw a couple of AA's in to it and it worked like a charm. Mine is a Onkya TX-SR608 and I didn't have to do anything to set it up.

Easy to use. Works great with our TV. Just wish the buttons were in different places that make sense.

Did not receive what was pictured
There is no dedicated TV controls on this remote, despite what the picture shows.If you're going to sell a remote with specific functionality, you should show a picture of the actual product!Remote does actually function and control the receiver, but without proper dedicated TV functions, it's useless as a single system remote.
