As expected.

The odor and flavor reminded me of diesel exhaust. I purchased this twice from local BJ's separated by about a year. Both times it had an unpleasant diesel/oil taste. Local BJ's used to sell Super Lucky Elephant (SLE) jasmine rice and it was the best. When BJ's dropped SLE I traveled to a distant store (not BJ's) to buy some more, and that stores SLE had an off taste. I don't know why Wellsley Farms I bought was like exhaust, or why the SLE I've bought lately isn't that great, maybe they switched to a different distribution warehouse in Thailand that's got a lot of diesel fumes. I've had to go to other brands to get nice tasting jasmine rice.

I bought this at BJ's store and it gave me a gluten allergy reaction. Gluten will make me ill. Although it does not say gluten free on the package, sometimes I just hope that being rice, which does not have gluten naturally, it will not be processed with gluten. I see now that this same brand has a package with a red design that IS labeled gluten free. Very frustrating for us with allergies.

The odor and taste were terrible, when I burned it, it smelled like plastic. I really don't want to even give it a star rating at all
