For over 20 years I have suffered from knee pain. It came to a point last March that the pain and swelling in the knees was so bad that I could barely walk and went to Urgent Care. The doctor ordered an MRI of one of the knees and they told me I had osteoarthritis. When the pain started radiating down into the calf, I called my family doctor and he sent me back to the Urgent Care and they found a blood clot and put me on Coumadin and Lovenox blood thinners. I had a reaction to the Coumadin and they changed it to Pradaxa. I continued to have severe knee pain and I couldn't go up and down stairs at all. I went to the orthopedic surgeon after a month of suffering and he said that the only thing he could do was give me a Cortisone shot in the knees. He was hesitant to do it because of the blood thinners, but I was in so much pain I insisted. It gave me some temporary relief that lasted about a week, but then the pain and swelling came back. I was watching YouTube videos about health and one of my recommended videos was by a Korean Holistic Doctor. She recommended Turmeric. I use a lot of Turmeric in my food, but she recommended this Curcumin product. I decided to give it a try and ordered a bottle. I started taking two tablets four times a day. In a matter of three days the swelling started to go down and walking became tolerable again. I was able to walk my dog and go up and down the stairs. Because I was taking so much I ran out after two weeks. When I ran out the pain and swelling came back after a few days. I ordered a second bottle and it took five days to come. As soon as I started taking it again the pain and swelling reduced again and went away completely after about two weeks. I now take two tablets twice a day and I am a happy dude. I have used everything that came down the pike, creams, oils, poltices, pills, supplements, everything. Nothing has worked like this did. The only downside is that it must be very high in beta carotene because I got something called Angular Chelitis when I was taking high doses. Painful cracks in the corners of the mouth that are caused by too much Vitamin A. I used zinc oxide on those (baby diaper rash cream) with good relief. Now that I'm taking a lower dose, that is no longer a problem. I strongly recommend this product. You will start to see improvement in 3 to 4 days, but complete relief from your pain will take several weeks.

Hello, all! About two years ago, I purchased this Smarter Nutrition Curcumin for the first time, and I believe it is 100% responsible for saving my ability to move normally and for saving my quality of life. The ONLY downside is the cost. I can’t really afford it (sometimes making ends meet to feed my family is a challenge), but I also cannot afford to be 51 with a blended family of 7 kids and 3 grandz and not be able to function, either! I did not and currently also do not have health insurance or access to affordable medical care, so I was researching alternative means to treat my sudden, unexplained, persistent immobility symptoms (primarily hip issues that left me with no strength to stand after sitting or squatting, unable to do anything other than crawl up stairs on my hands and knees, inability to drive unless I used my hand to lift my right leg by my pants, and even great difficulty walking; even sleeping on either side was uncomfortable at best, painful at worst). My symptoms had started suddenly in the winter of 2017, and were immediately severe basically overnight. It was as if I had sustained an injury, but I hadn’t. For months I tried many different combinations of OTC pain relievers, analgesics, and anti-inflammatory meds. I tried rubs, Epsom salt soaks, hot and cold compress therapy. Everything. NOTHING helped. I was only 49 when this blindsided me, and left me virtually unable to function. After coming across information about the virtues of curcumin, I thought it sounded like the perfect thing for me to try. After further investigation, I decided on this brand specifically. Now, admittedly, my symptoms were pretty severe and because of that, I did decide to ignore the dosage instructions and increase the suggested dose significantly starting out, with a plan to taper back down once I experienced any improvement (if any). I’m sure the company would advocate checking with a physician before taking the higher dose that I did, but I didn’t have that option and I was pretty desperate. For the record, though, I had ZERO negative side effects from this curcumin at any dosage level. But, this was my own personal experience. If you have access to a medical professional, please do go ahead and consult them first! I began seeing a little improvement within 4 weeks, and marked improvement within 8-10 weeks. By 3 or 4 months in, I slowly backed my dose down to that on the label, and continue that as my daily “maintenance” dose. Now, +/-2 years later I am back to my old normal self. If/when I ever feel any hint of an issue coming on (ANY sign of stiffness or weakness in my hips), I up my dose again for a week or two, at most, and that nips it right in the bud. I have told SO many friends and family about Smarter Nutrition Curcumin. It really worked miracles for me!

I have suffered with chronic pain and inflammation for years after a long battle with Lymes and Babesiosis. I've tried many products over the years but none have been effective as Smarter Nutrition's curcumin. The past year has been a series of flares with very few good days. I'd added turmeric and curcumin to my regime from other brands and they were helpful. After reading several studies about curcumin I began searching for a higher potency product and came across this one. Because of the price I initially dismissed it but after reading the reviews I had to try it. I was desperate and knew my MD would want to give me prednisone. Having experienced terrible steroid side effects I absolutely dreaded it. Although skeptical I ordered this. I was amazed the first bottle greatly decreased the pain and inflammation everywhere in my body. I did gradually increase my dose which put out the "fire" of an acute flare. But then the suggested dose was effective. I also experienced a sense of wellness, deeper sleep, improved mood and less brain fog. I'm on my third bottle and will continue ordering unless an equivalent product at lower cost appears. Twice now I've run out between orders and have been miserable!!! I know it's effective when the first dose brings relief. I have only written one other review in my life. I highly recommend this effective and potent form of circumin.

I've been taking this supplement for years and it has helped me to feel better, specially my knees. The $30 increase in price has taken it out of my ability to pay for it. I certainly don't get a 17% raise for cost of living. Sadly it is time to switch to a different brand.

I have had Fibromyalgia for about 20-25 years. I have tried just about everything in that time. I won't go into all of the various supplements and treatments I have tried. They were all very, very expensive if I received any help at all. I am retired with limited budget, but I feel this product has been very much worth the cost. For a 3 month supply I think it is very reasonable in cost. I ordered three bottles. I have been taking four a day instead of the recommended two, but I was in a very bad flare up and wanted to really hammer it. I knew the ingredients were not something I could over does on. I am nearly through my second bottle and won't be without this product going forward. To be total honest and forthright, I have been using CBD Oil for about 5 months and added the Smarter Curcumin to the routine when the CBD Oil brought some relief but didn't knock out the pain totally. The combination of the two has worked wonders for me. I have come out of the worst flare up I've had in years to being able to help through two moves for family members, taking care of my garden and home, and finally feeling up to getting out with loved ones again. These gel caps are sooooooo easy to swallow (which I often struggle with on some supplements). No aftertaste and no worry about getting the amount my body needs. After getting used to the dosage of two a day, this product has proven to be one of the best for helping with my allergies and back and leg pain! At first I had a bout with stomach cramps and diarrhea with the recommended dose of two a day, so I decreased the dosage to one a day until I leveled off. After a week on half the dose, I increased it to the recommended dose of two a day, I have noticed a big difference in my chronic sinus problems, I rarely have to take my sinus medication anymore. Also, the pain from three herniated discs in my back and also leg pain have decreased! I have taken other brands of Curcumin in the past years with little to no results like the Smarter Nutrition brand, so I will continue to take this wonderful product! Thank you for the Free Bottle!! I've been taking Curcumin for about 5 or 6 months now. My experience has been very positive. I have rheumatoid arthritis and have been a believer in taking turmeric to reduce inflammation (which reduces pain levels) but in the past the results haven't been significant enough especially during higher pain levels. With Smarter Nutrition Curcumin, the results were more significant. It was effective enough for me to reduce my pain meds. My mom also has rheumatoid arthritis and experiences significant pain daily. I shared a bottle of my Curcumin with her and I know it was effective because she was stressing for me to get her another bottle when she ran out. To further it's benefits, I had knee replacement surgery this year and had to undergo a physical to clear my health. I was nervous because a couple years ago I was told I had a rapid heart rate and was possibly heading down a path of heart problems. Surely they wouldn't clear me for surgery if I still had this problem. To my surprise my heart rate was normal, my blood sugar was normal (I was always a borderline diabetic), and my blood pressure was normal. I can't attribute it to anything else other than the Curcumin. So I've purchased a few bottles for my older brother who has a physical scheduled for November. He needs to improve his health or else it can jeopardize his job. He's a driver. He's been on it for over a month and he will have taken it for 3 months by the time he has his physical. I can't wait to hear his results. I'm very hopeful.

I’ve been using Smarter Nutrition Curcumin for a few weeks and while it seems to help with mild inflammation and joint stiffness, I can’t say the results are drastically better than other turmeric supplements I’ve tried. The added black seed oil and ginger are nice touches, and the softgels are easy to take. That said, it’s definitely overpriced for a 30-serving bottle. There are comparable products out there with similar ingredients and effectiveness at a much lower cost. Good quality, but not the best bang for your buck.
