Perfect fit
Second one purchased in 4 years. Considering the southeast sun beats down on the cover just about year-round, it's a great value. Easily fits over the boat motor and material covers nicely.

Bird protection
Birds building nests in cowlings, perfect fit for 2018 300hp Yamaha's. Just loosely snap strap under outboard cable inputs and slide over and pull down. Slide to proper position and pull strap tight, I did not use pull strings. Good quality material and they look great.

Does not fit newer model 4.2l series outboards
I have a new 2025 F300 4.2L and this cover flat out does not fit, not by a long shot. I even tried releasing the tension from the bungee cord at the bottom and that did not work. The cover does not even follow the contours of the motor. The description should be more specific to the model year so that these types of issues are avoided. Will need to return for a credit.
