Exact replacement for my water heater
There are similar designs that also work - this one was the same design as the instrument removed nice that this device integrated the igniter, pilot and thermocouple all in one for ease of installation

Fire hazard
Manufactured incorrectly! Pilot and Thermopile are in wrong position on assembly which delays ignition and gas vapor to enter room prior to igniting. EXTREEM FIRE HAZARD!

Saved us lots of money
When our Whirlpool gas hot water heater wouldn’t ignite from the pilot light, we suspected it was the thermocouple. Whirlpool wanted almost $100 for the part and we would have had to wait for the part from them. Thank goodness for Amazon and their fast delivery time. This part came with everything needed and it really saved us. It works great! It didn’t come with instructions but we found a YouTube video to complete the job.

It will save you money..
I did numerous research on the instillation of the thermopile. I checked my model number and found that this item was the correct one. Keep in mind that some Whirlpool water heaters are made by the American company. This item saved me a lot of time, by everything being in one piece. Take pictures before you do each step at first, it will save a lot of time in assembly of the new thermopile. I saved 150 dollars by doing myself. I would buy this item again.
