The pet stretcher is sturdy and well made. I'm confident if I have to use it, it will work as intended.

On the web it states it will hold a 220 LB dog I have a dog at 140 lbs & when I picked up the strap in front to wheel him out, the strap came off. The clips just came right off. So I suggest larger clips for the strap in the front? I was not able to use it for my dog.

The item was easy to assemble, and does seem like it will be useful and adequate when the time comes that I’m going to need it for my large dog. However, whoever did the engineering on this and the person who authorized it should be fired. This item is listed as being capable of carrying 250 lbs. The unit consists of two halves of metal piping that has one half slide into the larger opening and then secured into place. The problem is the securing. For one, there is only one hole on the side of the unit to match up, and secondly, the METAL piping is secured in place by a single WOOD screw!!!! This is not secure by any means and lessens the strength of the unit for carrying 250 lbs. As I said, the fix is easy and cheap. Just take a 11/64 drill bit and go through the already done hole to drill a hole through opposite side of piping. The take 5/32 metal screw and hex nut and fasten them together. You will need screw more than 1.5”, and then saw off any unnecessary part of screw. Maybe even use hex nut caps. This will give unit the proper strength and durability (based upon its initial design). [Seriously??? A wood screw? 🤦🏻‍♂️]
