Love to Water My Soul (Dreamcatcher Series #2) Review: Excellent novel - I especially liked the story about the child who was left behind by the wagon train and picked up by an Indian and taken to his tribe. Her life story after is very well told and kept me interested throughout the novel. Review: Excellent - Love all of Jane's books. She makes me feel like I'm living in them. The way she writes draws me in.

beautiful story!
This has to be one of the most beautiful stories I've ever read! It's my first by Jane Kirkpatrick, but she can count on me buying more of her books in the future. It's a story of belonging, losing, finding again. A story of closing the circle. The prose is warm and nurturing and refreshing, meant to be savored slowly with an eye toward entering the life and soul of the main character, not a story to be chowed down after only a day or two with little mental engagement. If you want a story that starts out with a certain crisis and moves on at a fast pace, don't read this book. But if you appreciate literature that delves deep into the heart of people, if you can have patience with words crafted with care and excellence, I believe you will enjoy this novel.

Love historical American novels
The author is so great at making you feel a part of the story and I have a hard time putty by the book down. Thank you for your research and love of accuracy in history!

Enjoyable and thoughtful read by an accomplished author
A woman caught between two worlds, in a turbulent era of history...what’s not to like. Kirkpatrick is so good at evolving her characters and making you feel like you’re watching the story revolve around you. The spiritual searching, guilt, and forgiveness that ShellFlower goes through is well done and not added as an afterthought to make it a “Christian novel”. This is one of the few books that I’m sad to finish!

Ok story
I really wanted to love this book. But I found most of it boring. My mind kept drifting. There were times I found it interesting but then go back to being bored.

I struggled with the first half of this long book, probably because I live in Australia and am not familiar with the native American culture and history. Once I reached the halfway point where it reconnected with the characters from the previous book I finished it in 24 hours and enjoyed it very much.
