Good iron for formal
This is such a good iron and it makes the annual weekly ironing job so much easier as the crease removal is excellent while retaining water for the steam function. Not the cheapest on the market but definitely worthy the money

Good iron
Great iron, no temperature settings a little heavy for arthritis hands but does a great job. Just a bit slow to get to temperature.

Great iron but takes time for the steam function to activate
Been a lifelong fan on Philips irons, this one makes it easy to operate no need for temp control and it claims not to scorch. The steaming is impressive and even though you get a large water tank it will guzzle through fairly quickly but it's testament of the strength of the steam pressure. Why drop one star ? The heating for the steam function to switch on takes approx 2mins which is crazy and also, not easy to wrap the cable on the device.

This deserves the NEGATIVE reviews....
PLEASE READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASING. Bought this last year to replace yet another failing 'steam-generator' model. It worked OK. By OK I mean it was average. It worked, I guess, as in it ironed stuff. It also spat out water (and limescale) regularly - EVEN AFTER DESCALING (using the built-in descaling feature). Then, after about 8 months, it just stopped working. It won't heat up. At all. Contacted Amazon who are sending it for repair. I doubt that this will help much, as I've seen too many comments where the failure was deemed to be 'mis-use' and therefore not covered under warranty - so we'll see how that goes..... In summary, it's barely fit for purpose - and it's not a budget buy either!! **UPDATE** The iron was repaired under warranty - however when it was returned, the box was badly damaged and the iron went POP and tripped our entire house electrics on FIRST USE AFTER REPAIR. AVOID.

Super easy to use - long cord
Really simple to use - no settings - it works it all out for itself. Heavy enough to glide well and a long mains lead

Better than anticipated.
Once I got to grips with the picture instructions I was happy with this iron. As a seamstress I need steam power this iron is amazing. Just a button away and I’m in control. Heavy yes but I need that. Excellent.

Received item in a pretty damaged box, not sure if new or refurbished item.

When somehody in Australia orders, is it not common sense to ship Aussis power plug? Received with UK plug. If there was a converter, it would have been just ok.

The iron is very good built quality, heavy enough to press on clothes but not too heavy to lift. The auto temperature and auto steam makes it easier to use. Would highly recommend.

This iron started leaking brown water from the steam vents after only a short time of use. The vents are not clogged, yet dirty water keeps coming out and staining my clothes and ironing board. On top of that, it has been a horrible experience buying from outside my country. If I had bought it locally, I could have returned it and gotten my money back immediately. Instead, I am now stuck dealing with the Philips repair center to fix a product that should never have failed this way. Very poor quality and a complete waste of money.
