I got it to hold 3 sticks of butter. You can grab the wood lid with out it slipping out of your hands like the other handless butter tubs I’ve tried and you can use the lid to put the target of the butter on or the knife. I love it.

This is a great product. It doesn't hold a whole pound of butter, but easily a half a pound. Plus it has a great vintage look.

This is great if you like to keep your butter at room temp and clean.

when I was looking for a nice butter dish, this product came across in my mind. Because until I found this one, I only can see the product for 1/4 lb. butter. This one is really awesome. I can put whole 1/2 lb. and it is still spacious. umm. One more important thing I would like to share is their great customer service I had had. When I received this product, I found a little furrow in the middle of rim (black part) with rusting. I was like h..mmm.. should I return it? or keep it? but when I washed it and put my butter block into this butter dish, I just decided to keep and use it. It is pretty ;) I liked to see this in my counter top.The materials of this product looks very nice. Wooden lid is firm and solid. Texture of all is awesome as well.Usually when buying something from Amazon.com, you will receive an email from the seller, right? I received it as well. They asked me how I am satisfied with the item. So I told them I have an issue, sent them the pictures of product as proof, but so far I like to use it. And then, they said they want all their customers to be satisfied, and they offered me two options; they would send new product; partial refund (40%of the price). I was okay to use it, but why not? I took partial refund. still happy with this one.
