Best curling jelly for mixed race and Afro carribean hair !! Great definition not too greesy !! Need bigger tubs as it goes very quick and under £8 good value compared to other vendors

Treated myself to this, after seeing some promising reviews online. I first used this along with the moisturiser for twists on wet, freshly washed (3c/4a) hair. My hair felt soft and conditioned, but the twistout only lasted a day before it went fluffy and frizzy in places. I had to retouch the twistout for the rest of the week with another product (Elasta QP Olive Oil & Mango Butter Curl Defining Pudding), which defeated the object of doing the twistout in the first place....I wasn't impressed! I had to try it again, due to the cost of such a small jar, and not wanting to be wasteful. I done a 'wash n go'. I applied a little of the Asiam moisturiser, then the curling jelly. I used more than I needed to 'just incase',so I was left with white residue (which disappeared when dry), and some 'crunch' when fully dry some hours later. The next morning the crunch was gone, my curls were bouncy and well defined, and no flakes. Six days later I still had definition, but wore my hair up. It can definately last for 7 days if 'pineappled' at night, and covered with a satin scarf. The only con I can find is the price. The amount in the jar does not warrant it.

At long last I have a found a range of products that not only do wonders for my hair but also my skin!! I have tried so many product on my shoulder length 3C hair, some left it dry, others flaky and others really irritated my skin and scalp. As I Am products, nourish my hair, giving it a vibrant shine without any oily residue. The moisture balance is just right and you don’t need oodles of product to get a ‘just left the hair-dresser’ finish. This curling jelly is very lightweight and you only need a small amount to define those delicate curls.

Not for 4C this Afro hair, this product didn’t do anything to my hair, having used it on a thoroughly washed and conditioned hair. It may be for other soft textured curly hair but certainly not for thick Afro hair. On top of that, it’s expensive as you only get a small tab. Updated review: I have added 2 stars to my initial review and the reason being that, it has left my hair so moisturised and soft for days, the stickiness of the product is gone and my hair feels so soft to touch. Also, it didn’t flake on me at all, and I can feel some coils from underneath my hair when I touch it though not many curls are showing when you look at my hair. Like I said, it may work perfectly for people with slightly looser curly patterns when it comes to curl definition, but for moisture, it’s great even for thick 4C hairs like mine.

Love this product, I'm mixed raced with 3B hair and it defines my curls beautifully. The gel isn't too thick and smells lovely but it's easy to use too much and your hair can end up being a bit stiff... Easily crunched out though. Doesn't leave any nasty residue in your hair either. Now as for the price, I know a lot of people say about its very expensive but you're paying for quality as it does have some lovely ingredients. I've just had a baby so don't have the kind of money to spend on stuff like this anymore (isn't life fun) but when I do I will treat myself to it and buy again. Bought this and the as I am double butter cream and I love love love them.

Didn't work on my hair, despite me applying relaxer before using ghis product. It also makes my hair to be very dry and rough in appearance other than oily/shiny and nice looking

This product does not dry out my hair, it defines my curls beautifully.

My daughter loves this stuff for her curls. Cheaper here than at the store too. Keeps her curls frizz free and hold the shape. Lasts forever too. Clean scent
