Ordered these after ordering & loving 2 sets of the nano towels after hee-hawing whether to try. Cleaning with just water? Not so sure about that, but I stand corrected. These are the best sponges ever! I've been using the sponge for about a month now & am simply amazed. The sponge is larger than normal, which takes a little getting used to. Now I actually prefer the larger size. The sponge wrings almost completely dry & air dries quickly. I live in a hot & very humid area & unbelievable that there is no odor at all, ever - unprescedented! I don't use a dishwasher, just simply hand wash every now & then with anti-bacterial soap & air dry. Very easy to wring out into a very small ball & springs back to full size readily. I have small hands, so this is a big plus. Outstanding to wash Instant Pot stainless inner pot & have cut down use of barkeeper's friend to remove rainbow & spots with barely a swipe, little scrubbing. The pot is almost dry after wiping & ready to be stored after washing dishes. I use for hand-washing dishes, wiping countertops, just everything. The set I received is grey on one side & looks like the same material as the nano towel. The scrubber side is non-scratch but powerful. I will definitely buy more of these for all around the house & highly recommend. I originally balked at the price, but these are well worth the cost.

I'm changing my review because part of using these is knowing how to use them and they don't necessarily tell you. The Wait I use them is to polish things more than cleaning them. I don't recommend using them for super dirty grimy things although they do a good job. But it will ruin them. For example, cleaning a window: First clean the window with soap and water and some other sponge, a cheaper one. Once it is mostly clean then use the nano sponge with just water on the rough side and then polish the window or mirror with the spongy drying side. The beauty of it is that it leaves no streaks and yes, with just water. We also use it on our stainless steel sink to keep it beautiful. We clean the sides of the sink every night with a sponge and then use the nano sponge to polish it with the rough side and dry it with the cloth side. It keeps the stainless steel from making water spots and keeps it looking like new. And these things are a miracle for cleaning the inside of your car windows. I spent over an hour using several different types of cloths and sponges including microfiber cloths to clean the inside of my car window. Each time it came out with streaks all over it no matter what I used, including window cleaner. But with the above method, I did it much faster and it came out completely streakless with the nano sponge. Now as far as cleaning heavy dirty jobs, I have also done that. But what I do is I keep one for dirty jobs and one for clean jobs like mirrors and windows as above. When using it for a dirty job I still recommend cleaning it as well as you can with another sponge or cloth first. For me, the nano sponge is best for finishing jobs, not for starting them. While they do a good job, they become ruined more quickly when you use them for a dirty jobs. For me they are totally worth buying just for cleaning windows and mirrors and sinks to keep them looking clean without streaks or water spots.

I never thought I'd take the time to write a review about sponges, or even really care, but these things ROCK! I waited a couple of months to review these, since I wanted to see how they held up to daily use. Let me say that I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I use them for dishes, wiping countertops, scrubbing the sink, etc etc. They are super durable, and have cut my use of paper towels and crappy, gross fake cellulose sponges to a bare minimum. They really work and they really have zero odor! I throw mine in the dishwasher (or the microwave in a dish of soapy water) every week or two for a deep clean, and the results are fantastic. One thing that should be mentioned, these are NOT heavy duty pot scrubbers. While one side is more "abrasive," and perfect for most items, you'll still want to keep a scrubber for pots with stuck-on food on hand. I've had no problem with nonstick pots, dishes, etc but have had to bust out the old nonscratch green pad for the rare, really bad pots. Other than that, I will never buy another pack of the "blue" sponges again!!!

This sponge far outweighed my expectations! I have only used 1, but applied it to a number of different surfaces. Older stains were left much more faint on ceramic surfaces with only water. With a small amount of an appropriate cleanser, the stain disappeared almost instantly. I received the larger sponge in a two-pack. I liked the size and thought both sides did an excellent job cleaning, though each side had a different texture. But unlike sponges with rough surfaces, you don’t need gloves to protect your hands ( from the sponge, if you combine it with a strong cleaner and you have sensitive skin, you may need gloves). I was a bench scientist for years and my hands aren’t sensitive to many chemicals or extreme temperatures so the sponge was perfect! I cannot speak for its longevity yet, but I will say it easily outperformed any sponge or cleaning cloth I’ve used in the past. Because so little time and effort were required to get any surface spotless , I have reasonable hopes the product will stay intact long enough to justify its price.

I really, really wanted to love this sponge. I’m a big believer in reducing chemicals in the home & our overall impact on the environment. The thought of going free from cleaning products was appealing, but honestly I didn’t find that possible with this sponge. Our first use of the sponge was after a dinner that was cooked in a skillet with a glass lid. We tried the ‘only hot water’ suggestion and were disappointed. While the sponge did a great job of removing the cooked on food bits from the pan, it also felt greasy during the cleaning. Even with copious amounts of hot water, we were not able to get the glass lid to be grease free. At one point my husband commented on whether the sponge was actually an environmental choice if it required the use of more water to clean without cleaning products... good poimt, actually. Not willing to admit defeat, we put the sponge to the test a few days later on a greasy pan from bacon. This was a double whammy - the sponge and pan felt greasy, and the little bacon bits got buried in the mesh on the scrubbing side. Big bummer. In the end, I really didn’t find it possible to use them with only hot water. In our case, we are sticking with environmentally safe ‘green’ dish soaps and cleaning products as they get the job done with less water. As for the sponge’s antibacterial properties, this applies only to the sponge itself. It should be noted that you still need to use some type of disinfectant if you want to sanitize a surface (e.g. cutting boards). As for disinfecting the sponge itself, the trick is the same with these as any other sponge: 2 minutes in microwave, throw it in the d/w, or sanitize with vinegar. PROs: Durable, good size, absorbent material, will probably last longer than other sponges CONs: Despite claims, food does stick to the scrubbing side, not great at cleaning greasy food residue, still needed to use dish soap, or disinfectant for counters.
