COLOR WOW Root Cover Up

Much better than the spray ones, this doesn't make hair greasy and stays put.

This is an old favourite for me. I gave it five stars some years ago and it’s still my go to for a quick touch up. I am getting on now and do dye my hair regularly. I used to use this product to touch up roots if I noticed re growth before leaving the house. Very quick fix.I now use it to help me grow out my dyed hair. Letting your greys and silvers grow out can be quite a challenge. I have succumbed and re dyed twice! This product is helping to shade the really lighter areas that makes my hair look like it has lots of different shades. Helps me keep confidence in how I look.

Absolutely useless. Doesn’t cover roots at all!What was really galling was that on the packaging it shows a blonde with some dark roots (like me) — I’m guessing they either covered her roots for the “after” photo with a different product or just photoshopped it.You could get exactly the same result with a cheap drugstore eyeshadow. I wouldn’t expect that to cover my roots though, and neither does this!Oh — and Amazon says this “is not eligible for return” too, so you’ll definitely be wasting your money.

I bought one of these 3 years ago and it was fantastic. It spread really easily and consequently has lasted me about 3 years! But now it was time for a new one so I bought the product again, same dark brown colour. This time, I noticed that the powder is not as powdery as it used to be so it does not spread as easily. It ends up being quite a lot more work to get the same coverage. Also, you have to use a lot more of the product so I can already see that it will not last as long as the last one. All in all, it is not as effective but probably still one of the better options for temporary coverage on the market, so for now I will continue using it.However, i do wonder whether a matt brown powder eyeshadow might do the same job for a lot cheaper than this Wow root cover up. I think I will try this out!

Wow literally

After looking at this for some time, but being put off by the price I finally decided to try it when it was on offer during prime day - it wasn't much of a saving but I convinced myself it was a saving!I had previously bought a cheaper non brand similar product on amazon which I love but it wasn't a perfect colour match so I assumed that this, being a well known more expensive brand would be even better. Esp since I use and like several other wow hair products. Sadly, that's not the case. You really need to load up the little brush that it comes with, meaning you use a lot more product than I did with the cheaper brand.. it's easy enough to use, however I didn't feel it covered as well as the other cheaper brand and I had to keep going over it several times... so it took me a lot longer. The colour match was better for me but I could get the same effect using a dark eyeshadow powder and better coverage with a cheaper non brand product. Overall, I am pretty disappointed and wouldn't recommend at the price - I do think there are better cover ups out there - covering better, lasting as long and costing less.

I can’t believe how good this product is. I hate my greys at the root, this is a lifesaver. Easy to apply and blend in. It’ stays in until you wash your hair. I’ve used a spray in the past which is sticky and goes everywhere! I would definitely recommend this product!

Used to use this product in brown when I started going grey - gives excellent coverage. Now I’m blonde (easier to cover grey/white hair!) I use this in between highlight appointments and it works well. Good coverage!
