These bookends have a good weight, they are quite compact, look nice on the shelf and do their job well. I was especially, pleased given the price, they are good value for money.I've used them on my upper shelves, and they stood the test against my cat, who decided to take a flying leap onto the books on the shelf. Books remained exactly where they were supposed to and no cats or books were harmed.They are quite a simple and clean design, and though sturdy are quite slim. I like the look.

These are quite simple 'L' shaped metal finished in black but seem quite strong and work.

Great size and value for money, these book ends are easy to use, carry a decent weight but are shallow enough for narrow shelves. Since fitting them they have stayed put, sturdily grippy and very much look the part, without adding any bulk. Perfect!

Great bookends that work well with some large, heavy text books. Some reviews say they are non-slip, but the ones I received aren't. Hence I used a couple of glue dots on the bottom of each one to stop them from slipping, which has worked fine.

I have to agree with other comments that’s these are very sturdy with a bit of weight on them too. I was worried about the black colour but it doesn’t bother me at all. Would definitely buy again! I recommend.
