NaissanceOrganic Castor Oil with Wands (No. 217) - 50 ml - for Eyelashes, Eyebrows, Healthy Hair Growth

I bought this to use on my lashes and eyebrows for the first time. I normally had fairly long thick lashes that touched my glasses, but after a rare flare up of stress induced eczema near my temples that took a while to settle, I noticed that my eyebrows had thinned significantly and my poor lashes had dropped out really badly due to me rubbing my eyes constantly from the itchyness :(. I thought I'd take better care of them from now as they started to grow back. Although I never wear makeup or curl them, a bit of conditioning couldn't hurt. I was quite sceptical about castor oil but in the two weeks of using it, I genuinely feel like my lashes and brows look more healthy and I can definitely see my lashes and brows have begun to thicken up and my lashes are a little longer. I think after a few more weeks I will see an even bigger change. The oil is really thick like honey, I tried using a disposable mascara wand but I felt like it put too much oil on and was too complicated having to buy wands all the time, so each night I just put a drop or two in my palm and used a q-tip to apply it to my lash roots(upper and lower) and put the rest on my brows. I don't have acne prone skin so it's not caused any styes or pimples. To be honest, I think this oil won't give you longer/thicker lashes than what is determined by your genes, but it will help them grow to their full genetic potential. The oil itself doesn't smell strongly, especially as you are only using a drop or two. This bottle would last a good few months. I don't know if it really darkens your brows/lashes as mine are naturally black anyway, but they are growing back so much better. I'm going to use this organic castor oil all the time now, the conditioning effect alone is so worth it!

This is my second order from Naissance, it arrived quickly and well packaged as last time, the bottle is made of plastic but doesn't feel flimsy at all and the lid allows you a good amount of control over how much product comes out. Its my first time with castor oil so I'm probably not the best judge of its quality, though it does seem to be heavy enough and the right colour. Though I've only been using it for just over a week (on the root of my lashes and eyebrows at night, and to remove makeup) I'm pretty sure my eyelashes are feeling stronger and less brittle, I haven't seen much change in length yet, but then I am trying to tackle a problem caused by my nervous picking at my eyelashes so I guess it can only work so long as I hold off pulling at them. Even if people find it unsuccessful as an eyelash serum, used with a lighter base oil (e.g Jojoba) and a floral hydrosol on a cotton pad, it makes a nice effective micellar water for eye makeup removal :) so I am pleased i finally added it to my collection of oils since i can see myself using it for this purpose quite often. 60 ml is a generous amount and if my other oils in this quantity are any indication, it will last a long time.

I've suffered from dryness under my eyes for years and have tried every eye cream on the market in all price ranges. I was amazed to finally have found a remedy to my chronic dry patches that would soak up every concealer and foundation I ever bought. I use a drop of castor oil around each eye, on lashes as well as eyebrows (which has made them look more healthy!) and it's worked miracles. I don't use words like "miracle" lightly but I can't believe what its done for the delicate, crepey skin around my eyes. I'm in my mid-40s and the skin is so much more plump and lines are barely visible. I'll never spend money on eye creams again! Any castor oil will do but the best is apparently Jamaican black castor oil.It's even safe if it gets into your eyes. some people even use caster oil as an eye conditioner to treat dry eyes. But I wouldn't recommend using castor oil in the eyes unless you like having blurry vision - ok for night time use perhaps.

I have very short thin eyelashes due to wearing makeup and false eyelashes, I have only been using this oil on them for 4 days (I've applied it in the morning and in the night before I go to sleep) and my eyelash hairs already seem to be stinger as they're not falling out when I wash my face like they usually would, and my bottom lashes seem to be growing already. My top lashes haven't grown much yet but I read it can take weeks to see a difference. I will definitely be buying this again when mine runs out.
