the watch arrived in perfect condition from amazon after about a weeks wait. it comes in a nice package in white with a inner and outer box. the inner one opens with a nice lid function and reveals i black kind of velvet interor with the watch itself on a round a black mini-pillow. there were lots of protective tape around the bracelet and the back dial so there was no doubt that the condition was totally untouched since leaving the factory. not sure were its manuctactured - seems watches without a "j" in the product code are not made in japan. but far more importantly it semms to be very well made indeed. you will probably need to take it to a local watchshop to get the bracelet adjusted (i needed 4 links to be taken out and was charged some 12 euros for this). the watch looks great, the design looks a bit similar to a rolex submariner or gmt, watches that cost more than 25 times as much as this one. its "full-sized" but not in any way cartoonishly big. it conveys the impression of a mechanical precision instrument all the way. my sample looses about 3 seconds per day so far which is fully acceptable. night visibility is very good. the lack of screw-in crown does make it more "diver-style" than real diver watch but in fairness the water resistance is just one step below real diver watches but much better than the normal 30m/50m protection most waterproof watches have. all in all a classic masculine sporty watch that goes well with almost any attire or occation. near premium in any regard except price. so its almost like discovering a hidden treasure in the complex watch market out there.

I love this watch. My 1st automatic Seiko, the movement doesn't appear to be as fast and free to wind as my Hamilton X wind, as I give that a waggle and the weight wizzes round and around. This movement seems harder work to wind. But I don't care. It winds quickly and we are away. looks lovely, yep its the cheaper of the ranges 007's 009's but thats why I bought the watch at £123 from amazon its a bargain. Time accuracy seems a tad fast over a couple of days, but again I am now in the habit of checking the time every day now, as I previously only had quartz watches and winding the autos is something I wasn;t used to doing. But you learn how to use them, sound daft but true It feels great on my wrist, light and comfortable. And look just about right on my 8 inch wrist. And the strap doesn't pinch my arm hairs.which is always a real pain with metal straps. This watch is my current daily driver. And I am saving hard for a Turtle Padi at £379.

A Fantastic time piece indeed. Great looking watch with a superb weight and very accurate time keeping. Seiko have really nailed it with their automatic system. I also have a Breitling which my father bought me for my 30th birthday, however because of its sentimental value I don't like wearing it all of the time so I chose this Seiko as my day to day watch. I really took my time in deciding which watch to purchase for this purpose and I can genuinely say I'm over the moon with it. As far as delivery and packaging are concerned, once again I'm very pleased with the promptness of delivery and the quality of the packaging. 5 stars all round

Arrived just today. Well done with the delivery! Really swift. I would rate it five if there was one bit of information not missing in the specs on Amazon. This model is not equipped with a screw down crown which is not a problem really. I expected that anyway as it holds only until 100 m of depth. I am not a professional diver so it does not matter in fact, but it is always good to have this additional assurance for water protection (just for the peace of mind I suppose because I do not expect any issues with this watch being exposed to the wet weather in the UK). I do some snorkelling occasionally and I am sure it will be absolutely fine. Now, do not get me wrong. This is a superb watch and it looks exactly as it should. Chunky, very Submariner's look and it is automatic. That is cool. If you take good care of it - do some inspections, say every 3-4 years and keep it going (it does not like to be idle, just like my Rolex - not a Submariner, but still with a screw down crown!). I know Seiko’s watches very well and they are usually very reliable so with the look of this watch this is very good value for the money. I love it and I am going to wear it most of the times keeping its more regal brother (Rolex) for more business appropriate occasions. If you share my passion for the look and appreciate the reliable mechanics of this watch go for it. Just a warning - it is chunky and feels bit heavy, but you will get use to it and... welcome to the world of automatic watches.

Heavy good quality really nice looking watch if you enjoy the chunky look. The back plate is also see through which means you can see the movement which is something I really enjoy. also a Diving watch which to me is nice as I am a diver. Really happy

Stunning looking timepiece, looks as good on your wrist as it does on the website, seems a shame to keep it in it's box for days but I want to keep it looking as good as it does now!!

Me ha gustado todo en este reloj. Tamaño perfecto (ni demasiado grande ni demasiado pequeño). El funcionamiento es perfecto y la esfera se ve muy bien. Lo he usado en la playa y en la piscina y no he tenido ningún problema. Queda muy bien vistiendo de modo informal y también se puede usar con ropa más formal. Se ajusta muy bien y es súper cómodo, no notas que lo llevas. La verdad es que me ha gustado más de lo que esperaba y me da la impresión de que lo voy a poner muy a menudo. Si algo no me ha gustado es que el día de la semana no viene en español, viene en inglés y en alemán, pero bueno, en general estoy muy contento con el reloj.

Received this watch for my birthday. Longtime hourology geek, so this was an excellent gift. Only my second Seiko, but fast becoming a Seiko fan! Now onto the watch..... Opened the box and first think that struck me was the excellent polishing and overall fi ish quality for a watch in this price point! Really great polished sides and nice even brushed surfaces. The day/date window also stuck out as a nice touch, the date has a dark grey background and the day à black one, nice detail that really looks exceptional. I also was very impressed to find the chapter ring, bezel and dial perfectly aligned, which I've had an, 800 dollar watch not be lined up as well!! The bezel was a darker blue than I expected, but excited to see it fade and wear with age. The dial is spotless and has excellent lume, the hands are also perfectly aligned and suit the overall design and feel of the watch. Keeps really great time, runs about 1 to 2 seconds fast per day which is amazing(checked against my phone daily for 4weeks). I also have not babied the watch, has been my daily beater for a month and it has gained some Knicks and scratches in the process. Pros -keeps excellent time -excellent price -excellent finishes -terrific lume -very nice bezel action -perfect case size and thickness Cons -don't like the big 5 sports text on the dial... -Bracelet is just okay...... -Not a domed crystal -Smaller than I prefer crown All in all the watch is a great deal and well worth picking up! I think the only thing I will do to it is maybe press in a domed crystal, but I'm just a sucker for them domes..... :P Buy it, you won't regret it!

Magnifique SEIKO montre automatique avec jour et date.Commandée le 15/10/13 livrée le 18 dans ma boite à lettre; Emballage impeccable.Fonctionne depuis cette date sans interruption, il suffit de la secouer de temps en temps si on ne la porte pas de manière régulière.Très précise aucun écart ni + ni -(base de comparaison avec l'heure automatique de mon pc) Mon épouse possède une seiko femme de cette série 5 (chiffre marqué sous l'inscription SEIKO dont j'ignore la signification) depuis une quinzaine d'année sans aucun problème. Bref c'est une montre authentique de la manufacture SEIKO Japan!Pas d'entretien particulier et surtout pas besoin de remplacer la pile! Je recommande sans aucune réserve sur ce produit ainsi que sur l'efficacité du site AMAZONE!
