Great quality baby potatoes, in a mix of sizes. They make lovely tasting hasslebacks and taste delicious with a little butter in a salad. Definitely worth paying a little more money for.

Baby potatoes are one of those things that seem impossible to get wrong until you receive a bag with half of them already softening, inconsistent sizing that makes even cooking a challenge or a earthy flavour that suggests they've been in storage considerably longer than they should have. These arrived in noticeably better condition than that experience has sometimes suggested was the norm for delivered fresh produce. The sizing is consistent throughout the bag, genuinely small and evenly matched in a way that matters more than it sounds when you're roasting or boiling and want everything to cook at the same rate. No oversized outliers that need halving to keep up with the rest, which with some baby potato bags is a more common issue than it should be. Cooked simply, boiled with a little salt and finished with butter and fresh chives, the flavour was clean and properly potato forward with a thin skin that doesn't need removing and a waxy texture that holds together well rather than breaking down. Roasted with olive oil and rosemary they crisped up on the outside while staying fluffy inside, the kind of result that depends on starting with a potato that has decent natural starch and moisture content. The organic certification is a quiet reassurance rather than the primary reason to buy them. The quality would justify the purchase regardless. At 750g the quantity is right for two to three people as a side across a couple of meals without excess that sits in the bag deteriorating. Arrived fresh, cooked well and tasted as potatoes should. Sometimes that's genuinely all that needs to be said.

Good quality and tasty potatoes. They may have a few blemishes but that is easily dealt with.

After several orders - please don't expect these baby potatoes to be baby potatoes as such but in reality they always tend to be mixed small potatoes. The quality and price have always been very good though!
