Fantastic little mirror
Fantastic little mirror that doesn't look much but oh it's great... I had one on my bike before giving up cycling a few years back due to bad health and lack of storage facilities so I had no hesitation in buying it again when I started cycling again last week... It's adjustable but it's tight enough that it doesn't move (unless your hand accidentally hits it)... You get a clear view of what's behind you even though it looks so small and it doesn't shake like some other mirrors I researched... I have trouble with vertigo (though it's never bothered me when I'm cycling unless I have to turn my head) so turning to look behind me isn't a very safe option... I still turn if I need to but the mirror is so helpful that I don't need to turn as much as I used to... My only issue with it is the strap... Over time it can become loose but it's got enough stretch that you can tighten it to another another hole so it lasts a bit longer...

As good as it gets for the price
I'm not as excited about this as some people seem on here. But I do like it. 1st and best thing about this item is the value for money. As a bike accessory in general, it's okay. Build quality is necessarily minimal but decent enough. Being entirely made of plastic to keep the weight down. While the rubber strap is useful in that its long enough to allow you to fix the mirror to a multitude of places on your bike. It is far too stretchy and does not provide enough pressure to truly secure the mirror in place. Once I got the mirror in a reasonable viewing position, secured to my right barend, I found that it was quite easy to knock the mirror out of position. Forcing me to take care everytime I switched to using my bar ends. The strap is also too long. If you secure it to a thinner tube such as handlebars or barends you are left with a few inches of strap that hangs loosely. This can get in the way of things if you don't fix the mirror to your bike in just the right position. You may do as I did and decide that I was only going to clamp it to my handlebars or bar ends and cut off the length of strap that is uneccessary. Even after doing this I was still not fully satisfied with the fit. So I took the thing apart and mounted the mirror and rotating bezel to a regular reflector mount. So now I have the same mirror with all the same rotational freedom, same basic dimensions but with a rock solid mount. This was very easy to do. If anyone would like instructions on how to do this leave a comment or send me a message. It really was quite effective and does not require breaking anything so you can go back to the original mount at any time. This does mean tho that the mirror is now a permanent feature. But its fixed on pretty solid so you would have to break it to steal it making it useless. Trying the various suggested positions on the bike, crossbar, stem, fork leg, inner handlebar and outer handlebar, I found that the only place I could really get a decent enough view of the road behind, was when the mirror was mounted to the top of my right bar end. The mirror itself seemed smaller, once it arrived, than I thought it was going to be and the impression I got from the pics. But I don't think this is a too bad as I didn't want to upset the profile of my handlebars too much by using this. I did find it pretty fiddly at first trying to find the right angle to view the road behind, but once I got in position I was quite pleased with the view it provided. Even as small as it is, thanks to the convex mirror you get quite a decent view. With a little head tilting you can see even more. So in summary. On the upside, its's very cheap, it looks cool, its easy to fit/remove, its very light and fundementally works as a mirror just fine. On the downside, the clamp/strap is poorly conceived and does not clamp very effectively. Easy to knock out of position. Definite case of getting what you pay for. Does the job, not perfectly, but cheaply. Would recommend for those trying to trick out their bike on a budget.

Inexpensive, discreet, effective
If you're thinking about buying your first bike mirror then just do it. Once you get into the habit of using it, riding will become so much safer. This mirror takes seconds to fit and adjustment is easy. I have one fitted on my road bike on the inside of my drop bars (right hand side of the bike) right at the end, just next to the bar plug (see photo). In this position it's discreet and out of harm's way. Also it seems to be at the right angle for riding on the hoods or the drops! I really like the design of this mirror. It's quite small but you really don't want something too big that'll get knocked or make your bike look stupid. It's lightweight, inexpensive and of good quality. I've had mine fitted to the bike for several years now and it has not deteriorated at all, despite riding all year round. Some other reviewers have commented on the mounting system being inadequate but I can tell you that if you strap it to soft bar tape (as I have) then it is going nowhere. It doesn't rattle out of position or anything. All my mates think I'm a goon for putting a mirror on my road bike but I don't care.

I did note in the other comments that this mirror was small.
It was a lot smaller then I thought although I did note others had said so in their reviews. But being small, it do the job on my scooter and make it road illegal . My scooter folds up so being small did however help by not getting in way of folding parts. It fits easy, you can see behind and do help. Bradley

Zefal Mirror Spy
This is a great piece of kit. I have just bought a second hand bike and was struggling to find a mirror to fit on the quite thick and sturdy and 'bulls horn' shaped handlebars. Looked at several before I found this one - and none of them were either wide enough or able to fit the shape of the handlebars. This mirror is quite small, but seems to be versatile enough to fit almost anywhere on the bike, and gives good visibility. Really useful if, like me, you're not quite still agile or flexible enough to be able to turn round far enough for a quick 180 degree check while cycling - and for general safety awareness of what is on the road behind you. Fully recommended.

5-star mirror let down by 0-star strap.
I bought this mirror and was very pleased with it for about a month. Then the strap broke. I'll fix it in place with a tie wrap, but that's not the point, is it? Sadly, an excellent mirror held in place by a rubbish strap is a rubbish product. The mirror itself is very convex so it gives a wide-angle view of the road behind. It will fit pretty well anywhere on your bike. The adjustment is smooth and doesn't vibrate loose. The plastic used for the main components seems to be very good quality. Many reviewers have commented on how small the mirror is. They are, of course, correct; it IS small. But they are missing the point. You don't need to see great detail in the image; you simply want to get an indication of the traffic behind you and you can do it in the briefest of glances in this mirror when it's properly adjusted. As a safety aid (which is what it is) it is more than adequate. But I'm VERY disappointed with the strap. It isn't particularly stretchy and is really badly designed. The design puts a terrific amount of stress on just a small part of the strap where it just snapped without warning. You can see the problem in the pictures. Because of the design, all the stretch is concentrated into the very small, thin areas by the side of the holes. I will re-attach it with tie wraps since the mirror is great and useful, but it spoils the appearance and means that it's not easily swappable between bikes. As this was my main motivation for buying this particular model, that's a big minus-point for me.

An excellent mirror for folding Brompton bikes with P-type handlebars.
I bought this mirror for a Brompton folding bike with P-type handlebars and it works really well. I searched for a long time to find a rear view mirror that would a) fit my bike; and b) could be left on the bike when it was folded. This mirror satisfies both criteria. It also give a good rear view and can be adjusted easily to optimise your rear view. I mount it on the bottom right hand side of my P-bar (for use in the UK), and occasionally I have knocked the mirror with my knee, but it is easy to put back into position. In summary, this is an excellent mirror!

Too small to be useful - don't bother
I was looking for a handlebar mirror for a Brompton bike which wouldn't interfere with the fold. This looked small and neat and can be easily removed if necessary. That's all true, but is as about as far as it goes. Firstly, the mirror is way too small to allow you to see clearly what's going on. You have loads of blind spots. (I like to be able to see the edge of my arm to the opposite side of the road to feel safe and I reckon you probably need at least 8cm diameter mirror to be able to do that). Secondly it moves about all the time so that you end up fiddling with it rather than keeping an eye on what all the other maniacs are up to. Thirdly it came undone and fell off, once when I folded the bike and once when I was riding along. I honestly don't think it is fit for purpose. I bought an end of handlebar one from a high street sports store for well under half the price of this one. It was simple to fit, it doesn't budge at all, it doesn't get in the way of the fold, I get a great view of the road behind and most importantly, I now feel safe.
