Sphero Nice Purchase
Bought for my 9 year old son as birthday present. I was impressed as it could worked with our previoulsy bough mini sphere . Great sounds from one forceband it is like you are obi-wan-kenobi. Nice as a present .

Amazing for the price!
The media could not be loaded. I couldn't believe it when I saw that I could pick this up for £5. Having a Sphero Droid, it was a no brainer to see what the device was like. It's easy to setup, although took a couple of goes to connect to the bot but connection is solid once made via bluetoothThere are a couple of apps you can get but it's the Droids by Sphero one that's best. The amount of options in the app is fantastic. There's a lightsaber sound option, so when wearing the strap it will make cool lightsaber noises when moving your arms. If you have a lightsaber this would be awesome. You can also do force training where you test your senses using the band and your phone together. There's also a game which lets you practice your arm movements, perfecting how you move your droid in real life but in a mini game instead. There a couple more as well but it's a fantastic device for the cost and great for any star wars fan.I gave 3 stars for the actual remote control of the droid as this needs practice, perfecting your arm movements (check out the video!) and I haven't done enough to be any good but it is tricky! To be fair it would probably get more than 3 stars when you get used to it. I've given 4 stars overall.Charging the unit is easy with a mini usb cord and charges full pretty quickly, a couple of hours.Love the aesthetics of it as well, looks like it's straight from the star wars set itself.Definitely can recommend, especially at £5!

Now its cheaper - its brilliant.
When this was launched at over £100 - it was waaaaaay over priced. Got this for under £20 and its brilliant! Perfect for any star wars fan who wants to explore the force and make blasting noises with their wrist!

The force can be too strong with this one.
Reviewing just the force band (not the BB8 droid which is cool). This band is very cool, but functionally it's near impossible to control BB8 properly. It just doesn't recognise gestures well enough. My boy is getting used to it, but invariably sends BB8 at high speeds into a skirting board. It's got the BB8 off the shelf from last Christmas though, and it is a well made and designed gadget. Just wish it was a bit easier to control

Really, really great!
This Force Band is brilliant, no joking. My 7 year old uses it for a Sphero SPRK he has and he loves it.It’s top quality design and the other two features are actually pretty fun.My only pieces of advice would be to set it up yourself before gifting it as it takes you through a game and other bits before you can control the droid. And secondly make sure you use it in a big open space for beginning as it’s tricky to learn the commends in say a kitchen, it’s really more for larger spaces. It’s so good though, really fun to use. My son now takes his sphero for a walk round the park with it!

Better than I could have ever thought and very cheap... now
On its own with the app you can find the Jedi Holocrons these can give information about locations, ships and characters. Sometimes it can be a weapon or special ships that send their sound effects to the training program and you can wave a lightsabre fire a blaster or swoop around in a T-70 X-Wing blasting things (works well if you are holding a model as you swoop side to side forward backwards moment fires the guns effect)With a droid it is a real task of control and after a time and on the correct surface your droid will be moving along at a fair speed and mobile.
