Schleich Farm Animal Toys and Playsets - Farm World Red Barn Set with Black Angus Cow Figurines, Farmer Action Figure and Farming Accessories

We bought this set as our three year old's birthday gift. It was more than we had planned on spending but when looking at comparable sets, there's a lot of ~$25 sets out there and then there's the Playmobil set and this one. We chose this one because it most closely mirrors an american farm, its size and ruggedness, and the availability of companion sets. To be honest, it is so feature rich that I'm not sure we'll ever appreciate in full all of the "bells and whistles". Assembly required a bit of troubleshooting, one of the walls got a little scrape to remove a injection-mold mark to allow it to slide together better, and the force required to assemble the kit sometimes bordered on excessive. The Schleich USA customer service we received was 10/10. A few small parts were missing and our CS rep was more than willing to help us with any problems, even shipped replacements quickly! To summarize our experience thus far- the engineering and design that Schleich has invested in this product really shows, and other than a few manufacturing/packaging problems (that customer service quickly and happily remedied) this is a set that would be hard to compare to- plus the amount of available new and used sets available makes this very attractive to accessorize! (Our three-year-old will probably be getting additional sets for birthdays and christmases for years to come.)

We bought this for a 1 year and his "5 year old" grandfather. So really, for the grandfather. It's HUGE. But it's adorable and so much fun. The 1 year old loves playing with the animals, making their sounds and biting at their little cow legs. They're so well made I don't worry too much about that. This company makes very nice sets of animals and accessories. I wish they had more people to go with them. We got a male farmer, but not a female farmer. Don't farmers come in both genders? You can buy a family, but not a black family or a white family, or a mixed race family. With the quality so high, it would be nice to see some of those things. The barn stays together as it's supposed to, and you can remove the roof sections to play with the insides. We've added a little horse stable and some new fencing to our set, so now grandpa has grandma down on the ground playing with this thing, too. If you have the room for it, it's a great toy for the 3 and up set. Or for a grandpa who really wanted it for himself.

What a super great company. This farm set is so detailed and creative with moving parts that actually work! They really thought of everything! I was very impressed with the roof. You can take that off and use it as a canopy for something else and then you can pack everything inside and put the roof back on. There are so many things for kids to play with on this farm set they will love it. I bought this for my grandson for Christmas with a few add-on kits and he plays with it for hours. I can’t say enough good things about this! Well worth the money!!

I put this together and I'm not mechanically inclined. It took me a long time, but everything fit together like a glove. The barn is very large, and I like that. It is very detailed on what goes into the barn. I like that the top comes off. Can't wait to see my grandson open this gift. It is worth the price.

Great product. Very durable. Can be difficult to put together. But a great size lots of accessories very cute design.

Naturally I am upset! It was expensive and the child was crushed. Please replace parts or Barn.

No parts missing, everything fit together easily and it's just a beautiful little farm set for young children. The instructions were clear and concise also. It took me less than an hour to assemble. I was so impressed with the care and thoughtfulness of this company, I went a little crazy and got a bunch of other stuff for early Christmas presents. Oh well, they're only little for such a short time!

Well made realistic toy! 🎅 brought one to our house for Christmas and our 3-year old animal lover couldn't be happier. Only drawback is some pieces are quite small, twine fence is tedious to assemble, and it came down quick. We are storing the smaller pieces for when he gets older. Overall very pleased with this barn by Schleich!

This is my first Schleich large play set and I was really excited to get this Barn. I will mention it took me a bit over 2 hours to put together. I'm not sure if this is because it was my first set, or because it's a bit difficult to build. Two of the pieces in the beginning would not fit in together and I actually gave up and left it half way in. It does the job still regardless but looks a bit uneven (for me it was the large red side wall on the left). The rest of the pieces were a bit easier but still a pain to snap into place (it's either you have to use a ton of pressure or such a small amount of pressure.) Lots of pieces fell on the floor while building this. The door hinges are not the best design either, as it's easy for them to snap off while opening. The pieces are all a bit wonky but it can be done. Once together it does not look wonky at all, I just want to mention. It looks really awesome. I still give this product a 5 star rating though because if you can get past the frustration of building it, this is actually a really sweet set. I like all the detail they put into the barn itself, animals, and toys included. There are a million play options. The roofs are easily detachable so you can slide them off to play inside the barn, or have them on to play outside the barn. The roofs are sturdy and can also be used as outside gazebos for the animals. The two cow figurines are adorable in person and look great with the barn. They are highly detailed. There are many doors to open, close and slide. There are upper parts to the barn as well to store food or have animals up there. There is a claw that is attached to a string that lifts the hay up (or small animals if you want lol) into the barn or around the barn to the animal pens. It is on a conveyor belt that can go around the barn which I found cool. (I am sorry I do not know what it is called :P) There are outdoor fences, flowers, windows, play food, a wheel burrow that can attach to the man as he wheels food around the farm. There is a ladder, an outdoor grazing area and extra pens. The size of the barn is large and spacious. I got lights from Ikea and put them inside the barn and it looks really cozy. Very cool set, my son loves it. When you are all done you can put the roofs back on and put it to the side as a barn display and it looks lovely. The barn has a texture to it like bumpy red paint which makes it look detailed. Over all I love it, and it's a very fun barn. The play options are endless. I will probably get more items to go with it now. It's just a really cool set.
