It's quite perfect for 1440p gaming (with 1440p being a very undervalued ...
Note: TLDR at the bottom. The 1070 is in an odd place on the GPU market. On one side, it's about 40-50% overkill for 1080p gaming. It's quite perfect for 1440p gaming (with 1440p being a very undervalued resolution)But lastly, it falls short on 4k gaming as you'd only be able to comfortably play with around medium-high settings while still holding 60 fps.The Zotac 1070 mini is surprisingly priced lower than most other 1070s (I got it for £350) and I really don't know why. It's the perfect GPU, with excellent thermals, good overclocking potential and very little power draw (you can run this with a 400w power supply). The main thing to note is that as games become more demanding, the 1070 will fall into the 1080p gaming world (will probably take about 2-3 years before it's considered a 1080p card). The best thing about this card though is it's tiny size.As you can see in the pictures, this thing will fit into any case (I have it in a Micro-atx silverstone case, and no it's not upside down. It's a weird case design where everything is backwards). The TLDR: Get this for 1440p gaming for 1-2 years or 1080p for the next 4-5 years without the slightest bit of problem.Power efficient and cooling for a Mini card is fantastic.

Great Card
This card is great , its a mini card so is smaller then normal but for the size it is it still packs a punch , i have just upgraded to this from a Asus RX580 8gb which i have to say was a amazing card and looked great. Im getting atleast a 20fps or more increase which i am super impressed with , the card itself looks great , the only complaint i have is that it doesnt have a metal backplate , in my pc it is not visible as my graphics card is upright so you can view it but its still i feel a requirement for a graphics card at this price point to have a nice solid backplate. All in all a great card and look forqard to doing a review of it

Beware of fit problems - this is NOT a small card!
This review is not about the graphics quality of the card. I've used it for one evening only; the picture seems crisp and clear, frame rate at high settings is fine, and it is not noisy - so all in all, at the price, a good graphics card. Under Linux, The Witcher 2 and Unreal Engine 4 run satisfactorily, while under Windows The Witcher 3 runs at 1440p on high settings with good frame rate. The problem is fit. This doesn't matter, of course, if you have a big case, but I don't. For a start the card, although short, is substantially thicker than other dual slot cards I've used, but much more seriously the power connector sticks up 20mm above the card, and if you don't have clearance above the card bay (I don't) it isn't going to fit. See pictures above. I'm obviously not going to get the case fitted, so I'm not sure what I will do.

Review 4 years later
This thing is still going strong, i rarely turn my pc off and I have put this card through its paces over the years I am surprised it still works without issue after all this time and extremely heavy gaming use (5+ hours a day almost every day)Still runs everything in 2022 at acceptable framerates.

Big improvement on previous card
Bought to replace a GTX 960. easy to install, no real issues regarding driver installation. Probably a bit of overkill for Photoshop, but 3D rendering much improved and other issues have been resolved. As with all these things, a bit of tweeking required but nothing too onerous. Together with a new M.2 SSD, my computer has had a new lease of life. The free copy of Fortnite included is a bit of a joke. Do adults really engage in this sort of junk? A quick look was more than enough for me.

Fans were faulty.
Fans were on full blast when I launched a game and wouldn't go back to idle when I closed it. Had to turn off my PC completely, restarting didn't even work.

GTX 1070
Bought this for £230 for my girlfriend's PC.It's quiet and is perfect for her 1080P system. Doesn't run hot at all (peaks at mid-70s in a poorly ventilated case, custom fan curve which maxes out at 70% - only slightly audible at this speed).Zotac offer an extended 5 year warranty (only 2 if you don't register in the first 30 days, so be on the ball) on their cards which is amazing and will probably outlast the card, which offers great peace of mind.Fully recommended.
