This is a great starter set for boys 10 and older.

Great value for 3rd party motors set. peghole pieces can get a little stiff but that's not a bad thing except on removal.

We are very pleased with this set. Models are simple enough and quick enough to build that our 4yo can enjoy them while still challenging him and being fun. We can then explore the mechanics of them by swapping gears and such to see what makes them go faster (not part of the instructions). Excellent starter kit for an introduction into "Lego technic" type sets. My only critic is that the Instructions could use a little bit more clarity. Some pieces aren't shown being installed on shafts (for example) very clearly and you basically have to realize and find them. FYI, The second model in the instructions didn't move properly until we swapped which legs the one way clips were on (front vs back legs). Then it worked properly.

The instruction manual can be confusing, because of the way they used colors. It can be hard to differentiate the black and blue. There aren't a lot of projects and some just dont make sense. The one with the working fan is on wheels but the wheels have no function. It was a little disappointing. My son loved the motor, it is why we got the set. Unfortunately the wiring didnt hold up and the motor broke within about 2 weeks. I'm trying to fix it but it's fickle. UPDATED: After my review, the seller reached out to me and offered to replace the item. I think that their willingness to make the customer happy means a lot.

My 5 year old is obsessed with all things lego, blocks, etc. He wanted to be able to build something with a motor, so I decided to give this set a shot. It is SO MUCH FUN! The step-by-step instruction booklet allows the kids to create multiple builds and the motor really does work. Very cool gift for kids who love to create or for adults who like to tinker.

My son loved building with it, but the battery pack and motor don't connect properly so it doesn't run. I wish Amazon or the seller could just send a replacement motor rather than going through the trouble of replacing.

I bought this for my son's birthday. The remote box is broken. I'm very disappointed in this purchase. The motor works. I know this because we attached it to another remote he already owns. The other building blocks are fine. Just bummed that it is broken. I wish I could recommend buying this but I can't.

Nice little set, 100% Lego compatible, but better suited for older children, I would say 10 and up.

Bought this for my 6yo who wanted to give Technic a try. It's a great value compared to most sets I've found, and is a bit less "specialized" than many others, which means it's easier to just mess around with. I think it's the best way to get a battery pack and motor for cheap or to test if your kid enjoys this style of blocks before diving in.

Bought it for my grand son for his birthday, but unfortunately had to return because the motor was not working

Grandson loves this . Every project can be made in 12-15 steps . Pictures help with that . Highly recommend
