I love this product!!! and I have a story here to tell about it, ok so this may be a bit long but I need to express how great this product is. So initially I bought this product to get my hair thicker as I had previously used it and it worked, so I decided to order it again, I have been putting it on my scalp and can see a difference after about 3 weeks of use. My hair is thicker in the roots, as I have braids in, but already I can feel my regrowth is really soft. So about 3 weeks ago I hit my head on the edge of a wall :( and used ice on it immediately. The next morning I woke up with a lump on my forehead. I used some more ice but it just was not going down. After two weeks of the lump still being there, I took matters into my own hands literally and started to press the palm of my hand on my forehead, this brought immediate results and the lump went down completely, however quite swiftly the lump would return once I stopped pressing my palm against it. That friday night I woke up with the lump about 5x bigger than its original size! I was devastated as I was already upset with the previous size, I then went back to the ice pack and used this for about 3 hours, before I knew it the lump had grown even BIGGER!! and this time it had darkened. I had to be taken to A & E as it was so painful to touch and looked terrible. After 2hours I was seen by the doctor who told me the lump would go down by it self after a week and that leaving the ice pack for 3hours had caused the blood vessels/cells to rupture-hence the dark appearance. I was skeptical as for two weeks the lump remained when I did nothing and I had even googled and read some ppl had lumps on their forehead permanently, so this really upset me, to the point of looking at cosmetic treatment for its removal. Anyways, I was in my bedroom that Friday and picked up my castor oil, i read it was used for other problems like arthiritis so for some reason I placed some oil on my lump, by saturday the lump had halved in size, by monday the lump was completely gone!!!!! The darkness remained but its been 5 days since and the darkened skin has almost completely peeled off. I am really so happy about this as I no longer have a lump and Im sure if I did not use this oil, it may still be there. I will definitely be buying again!!!! :D

1- Currently using this extra dark castor oil overnight every 3-4 days with Peppermint Oil from about 1.5 months to get thicker hair; I might mix in flaxseed oil to the whole mix to make the hair mask slightly thicker. 2- The quality of the oil has been consistent and is natural to the point where it had, what looked to be, natural roots within the bottle. My 2 Cents: Given the thicker consistency of the product compared to cheaper castor oil it, at least seems to me, to be more nutritious for the hair. It's worth trying if you don't mind the higher price difference compared to ordinary castor oil.
