These inexpensive hair accessories do an excellent job keeping my "fringe" out of my eyes during work, without me having to sheer it off and ruin my casual look.My hair is very fine, and can't take a lot of weight, though it slips out of anything too loose as well. These didn't crimp as tight as I'd like when they came, but a little "brute force and ignorance" applied to the bend to push the lower arch closer to the supporting plate resolved that. If my hair were thicker, I'd probably appreciate that looseness more, as it is it just slid straight out prior to my "fix".I do also use the French style Barrette clips, though I have to be careful with the weight of the adornment, and the way the inner section bisects the base-plate can damage hair. The latter issue is also present here, while I have a similar design, but with the base-plate not dissimilar to a sequence of metal o-ring spacers... This prevents the arch going *through* the base plate, (that scissor action) while keeping even pressure along my hair. (I think I got them in Clair's or something, but haven't found them again to re-stock) These are **NOT** as good, but a sufficient substitute, at a good price. (these are much cheaper, if memory serves)

Very poor.Metal is flimsy and weakClasp /closure is especially bad. Small area of contact without hair. Once hair is being held almost impossible to close. When you can close it, it pops open at any moment. An absolute waste of money. Because they were so cheap, I figure its not cost effective to return them. You get what you pay for i suppose.

These are attractive hair clips but easily bend and are then not effective.

Product is fine, made well but just a lot smaller than expected. It would of been cheaper to get from the local accessories shop.

Exactly what I was looking for as I have thick hair and I tends to destroy ordinary slides. I used to use this type of slide for my children as they stayed in all day.
