I'd recommend medium, this gauge is flexible enough for strumming but also rigid enough to allow accurate picking of melody lines &so suites most styles of playing.

Heavy, i.e. the same thickness as every other heavy pick I have ever encountered. Amazon sometimes mix reviews of similar products by same manufacturer. This I think is the cause of your confusion. I have bought these twice, they arrived both times as described (heavy). If the picks are described as Heavy at top of product page and stay as such in basket you should get what you ordered.
