A perfect thing to do over lockdown! I hadn't done cross-stitch for years and I thought this looked something inbetween super simple and over complex. Really enjoyable. 🙂 I would recommend this very much. And at £9.99 I thought it was good value for money. P.s the sticker in yellow is just to cover up my initials.

Love this kit but the tacky, thin, hard to thread needles (2 of) spoil it. These are in every kit I get now and they break and bend and are irritating. Come on, put one good needle in instead of this rubbish. It'll always lose a star from me with these needles

Likes: The chart is clear and well printed in both symbols and colours on quality paper. The Aida has been overlocked around the edges which stops it fraying. The colours are pre-sorted and carded. The symbol/colour legend is clear and easy to understand The chart has lines to indicate the middle Dislikes: only one thing. The eyes of the two needles are so thin it's a struggle to thread. If you are giving this as a gift, buy extra needles so it can be started straight away. I have been so impressed with this kit that I have another design, from the same company being delivered to my Mum today as a gift. Excellent value

Doing a review for this item is something of a challenge! I saw the picture of the tea cups and decided I would like to do this. However, I read the one and two star reviews before purchasing (I always do - nobody submits a five star review full of negativity and pitfalls). The main criticism of this cross stitch appears to be there aren’t sufficient threads to finish the project and the Aida fabric isn’t large enough to give a good enough margin to frame. With that in mind I decided to purchase a larger piece of Aida and went through all my unused threads/floss matching those that I thought I could use. As each cup is an individual piece, I can’t see that it matters if a slightly different colour green or blue etc is used for that one cup. I think this would be a hard project for a beginner to cross stitch - there are much simpler ones out there. However, I have started it and I can certainly see where I am going to run out of thread/floss so as long as I have enough for each ‘cup’ then hopefully I can complete this. It wasn’t expensive to purchase so I didn’t mind buying the extra Aida fabric.

I enjoyed doing this cross stitch.
