I bought one of these iPod USB cables from Star-E-Shop and just like the one I bought from them a year back, it is well made and works.Ok, it is a knock-off, so it may not last as long as the genuine article, but then for less than a pound it's a no brainer.I checked both connectors under the microscope and both are well moulded and both have gold plating on the contacts.FYI - I think Amazon lump all the suppliers together based on their claimed description. There is no guarantee that they supply identical items, so beware. If yours does not come from Star-E-shop then this review won't apply.

This product is as expected, it is fully functional and arrived on time, I would have liked it to come to me sooner (in the UK) however i understand that it couldn't because it was being shipped from Hong Kong.-UPDATE- I have had this product for 5 months, it was great and served me well, i did not see a change in battery length or the charging time. However a few days ago when I was taking the USB size out of my laptop it disconnected from the wire leaving the USB head in the USB port in my laptop. I was very disappointed however for 5 months at this price I am not complaining. I have re-purchased and im hoping to get the same - if not better useage out of it.
