I've been using this lock with my 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe for months now.It's easy to thread the cable through the steering wheel and lock into the seat belt receptacle. It's a little harder to unlock because in my car you have to push the unlock button pretty much all the way down as far as it can go to unlock the seat belt. The unlock button is a simple plunger that pushes the seat belt unlock button, so the push depth may vary depending on the car.Somebody in a one-star review said they could cut the cable using cheap wire cutters. I've not tried, but I don't think so. This cable is thick and braded like a heavy-duty motorcycle cable lock.So overall I'm happy with my purchase, but I wish I didn't have to use it every time I park the car at a public lot (thanks Hyundai...).

Less bulky than most steering wheel locks, can't be pryed/pulled off like most steering wheel locks. Light weight and easy enough to use my girlfriend actually uses it most of the time. Little concerned with the plastic buckle part, would be great if it was metal. Would pay double for that option.

Needed a lock, works great, and can be locked/unlocked after a few moments are getting the hang of it. Only issue that I have with it is that during colder days it is quite stiff when unhooking it so if can eat a touch more time if you are in a rush.

I like how easy and sturdy this is. The cable cords are very thick. I would have given it 5 but sometimes the locking mechanism for the seatbelt took several tries. It’s not like your seatbelt buckle that we blindly lock so I had to always physically look and tug on device to make sure it was engaged. Removing the device with the key could be awkward since you have to turn and press down on the release. One you’ve masted locking and unlocking this is a great device and I would definitely recommend this device.

My Lexus is a magnet for theft, 3 times in 3 months, God help me. I have to park on the street. For 2 months now I've locked this colorful strap between my steering wheel and seat belt lock as part of my multi-product approach to deter theft. So far, so good. Pretty easy to use. Easy to drop onto the passenger side when we are driving. Non-intrusive.

At the end of the day, locks only keep good people out but with this so visible on my steering wheel I am hoping a car/truck thief will see it and move on to an easier target. Very easy to put on and take off, and it doesn't mar any of the surfaces of my new truck.

We have a Hyundai Accent which is susceptible to being broken into for vehicular theft which has already happened to us twice in our area. I purchased this steering wheel lock I hopes of it acting as a visual theft deterrent but it’s ironically become a very practical physical deterrent even if you are the owner with the key. Our vehicle is a black car with a messed up AC, we utilize the lock all of the time after each driving session for obvious reasons. The first few months the lock worked fine, when you loop it around and click it ideally when you go to unlock it it’s a simple soft left turn of the lock cylinder and is disengages the seat belt buckle. This is unfortunately far from the case months later. Sometimes I am able to get it first try. However, more often than not I am spending 5-10 minutes in a black car with no AC in 110’ weather trying to unlock the lock. I believe can continue to turn the cylinder over and over and it simply does not disengage. The solution it forcefully pushing in and moving around the shell and buckle until you hit the “sweet spot”. I really wish it were more consistent because I think it’s a reasonably strong lock, you probably would need bolt cutters to defeat it or a pick set with an incredible amount of time to defeat the lock. I have experience with all sorts of different types of locks in physical security research but it feels as if I’m picking my own lock with the key.Hopefully it’s just a situation where I got a dud or something was machined poorly on this particular piece, it seems like it’s more consistent for other reviewers. Good luck, sorry to the others who have to go the extra mile with things like this when your vehicle manufacturer has left you in the dust. It’s incredibly frustrating.

This come with three keys so I have one spare. This cable is thick. It is not very heavy but strong. You need a heavy duty tool to cut the cable in order to drive. But you still can't wear the seat beat until you remove the lock part with key or with some other tools and time. It is so easy to lock and unlock so the family members won't complain about it.
