This is a good hair oil ,however, there are even better ones out there. Above is the old-school Dabur Amla oil that has a rather strong smell &more paraffin oil than natural extracts. For your 10 year-old child, I recommend Dabur Amla Kids, an oil that is light , has a pleasant smell&consistency + contains natural oils +Amla extract. This oil is far milder & more suitable for children. How to use ? Warm up a few tablespoons of oil (the amount depends on hair length &thickness). Divide hair into sections and gently massage the oil into the scalp with the fingertips. Continue massaging the oil for 5-10 minutes then spread the oil on the full length of the hair. The massage is very relaxing and increases circulation to the hair follicles. Amla +all the essential fatty acids in the oil also improve scalp health +make hair shafts flexible ,soft and shiny. For best results, use the Dabur Amla Kids oil once /twice a week for a good scalp massage +to coat the hair with. Leave it on for min 1hr or overnight then wash out with a mild, reduced sulphate or sulphate -free shampoo. I had hairfall before +my hair was thinning due to hormonal changes+age but using hair oils for a weekly scalp massage has changed that all. My hair breaks less, grows faster +feels thicker + looks far healthier than before. I started to use the Dabur Amla Kids oil on my children as well because they all have thick, curly, mixed-race hair that breaks easily. Applying this oil as a pre-shampoo treatment has made a lot of difference. I also use a few drops of oil to tame frizzy hairs +to smoothe hair ends &it s good for that purpose, too.
