The ideal popcorn maker that ticks all the boxes. Initially hesitant about the price, but totally worth it.
OK I bought one for myself in a shop and loved it so much I bought one online for my mum and sister. I wasn't sure I could justify the price initially, but it's totally worth it (popcorn is my go-to snack!). Pros: SO easy to use. Just pour in the popcorn, pop the lid on lightly and then in the microwave for 3 minutes. I usually pour in a tiny bit of coconut or olive oil, or a vegan butter with the kernels so that the seasoning sticks (usually just a bit of salt). Less washing up to do - as you eat from the same bowl you cooked the popcorn in, you don't have pans and bowls you need to wash afterwards. Less packaging to waste - no more paper and cardboard waste from microwave popcorn! Healthier - you know what you're putting in, none of this chemical stuff that they put in packets of microwave popcorn, and you can add healthy oils to get a good bit of essential fat into your diet, but if you want to keep the calories low, they pop nicely with just the steam. Beautiful, fluffy popcorn. I always struggled to get the same kind of popcorn when making it in the pan, so this is ideal. Super tasty and light. If there are some kernels leftover that didn't pop, you can usually pop them successfully the second time round - no more waste! Folds away neatly and takes up less room in the kitchen. Cons: Because it folds away, it's a bit flimsy and washing it is a bit annoying - but you get used to it and find a way around it. I usually fold it down and wash it that way, as it's sturdier, or I kind of turn it on its side and rotate it as I wash.

Simply Brilliant
This simple item has been a revolution to me - so fuss-free compared to the hob which can be hit and miss, and no chance of technical glitches like many complain of when buying the popcorn machines. Comes in a lovely box which you can keep for storage, along with a recipe booklet. Makes perfect popcorn every time if you get the timing just right after one or two tries - I have a 750w microwave and find 2:40mins is perfect, any longer and the popcorn gets a slightly singed smell (which is how you know you're over cooking it). I also find it tastes much better with a dollop of extra virgin olive oil. Yes there are a few seeds left over always, but same goes for using the hob and machines so I don't see this as a problem - especially since popcorn is so cheap. No idea why people would buy ready-made flavoured popcorn or the machines when it can so easily be made at home using this. I can totally recommend.

Does the job well but timing can be tricky.
Works well but always leaves some unpopped corns and sometimes burns if left too long. The big advantage of this 'wave popper over the electric types is that you put the flavouring in, if you want any, before popping so that the popped corns get evenly coated in whatever you've used. I believe with the electric versions this can't be done and putting flavouring like salt or sugar on after popping doesn't work well because it doesn't stick to the corns. The procedure is to put the corns in the bowl then sprinkle a little olive oil over them together with your choice of flavouring if any. I've tried only salt or sugar. Only a small amount is needed. When popped, which takes around 3-4 minutes or so, the mix of oil and salt or sugar sticks fairly evenly to all the popped corns due to the oil coating. It can be a little tricky to get the timing right in the 'wave. Too short and there will be an excess of unpopped corns. Too long and there will be a number of burnt ones. I go on sound so that when the popping becomes less than roughly 1 per second, I stop it. But it is a bit hit and miss, even after a lot of use. For that reason I've knocked off a star. Apart from the risks of burnt and unpopped ones, this does make very good popcorn.

Brilliant in Design, Execution, and in the Popping of Corn
I have to say that I am sorry in advance as this review is going to sound like I either invented this thing or in some way will profit from said review. I did not and I will not but here is my review! This thing is absolutely BRILLIANT! Let's start from the fact that it makes good popcorn. I just got it on Sunday morning at 9:00am and though it was not a time when one would usually have popcorn I had to give it a try. For a test case I just put in a tablespoon of kernels and did a quick grind of salt. Into the microwave at 600 watts for three minutes. Just before the timer had expired the popcorn stopped popping so I stopped the microwave. The popcorn was pretty much perfect. I ate it all. There MAY have been a single kernel left unpopped. Brilliant. So here are some other things to like about it. I was able to pull it out of the microwave without a pot holder and without burning myself. The fact that I had only done a partial batch helped with that but the material that it is made from is the larger factor. Brilliant. This also allows the popper to be the serving container right out of the microwave. Brilliant. The lid of the maker fits inside the maker such that it rises with the popcorn. This keeps the heat and moisture contained and presumably contributes to the taste of the end product as well as the high success rate in popping kernels. Brilliant. Finally, for storage the thing folds into itself taking up a third of the room than if it did not fold. Brilliant! If you like popcorn you gotta get one.

Perfect for quick and easy popcorn
I was sceptical based on the mixture of reviews, but this is definitely the option for me. Took a little bit to figure out exactly the right timing for my microwave, but the fact I can put either butter or oil into the container, pop and pour suits me perfectly... Popcorn is always light and crispy and once you get the timing right its always perfectly done. Easy storage too - just didn't have the space for an air popper, already had too many other appliances. Like other reviews, I just couldn't get it right in a glass bowl or other container, this is made for the purpose albeit a little expensive for what it is... Goes through the dishwasher perfectly as well.

Does what it says - makes popcorn and folds away easily. The bowl is a soft silicone and doesn't feel too hot to hold when removing from microwave, unlike paper bag popcorn. The lid has a sort of suction so you don't need to worry about it getting loose and letting kernels fly free in the microwave. A great alternative to a pot on stove, which I find messy and time consuming.

This is the BEST & EASIEST popcorn popper I ever used!!! It makes the most delicious popcorn in minutes. I just received it Yesterday and already made 5 batches of popcorn! It pops the corn fast and evenly and leaves very little if any unpopped kernels. I only used 1/4 C kernels and the popper was almost filled to the top with popped corn. I used Orville Redenbacher's Popcorn and all 5 batches were FANTASTIC!!! I set my micro-oven at 4 minutes and listened for the popping to slow down. As soon as the POPPING SLOWED DOWN, I removed the popper from the micro-oven. MOST BATCHES TOOK LESS THAN 2 MINUTES!!! The popcorn made with sugar and splenda required LESS COOKING TIME. I swirled some hot water and soap in the popper after use and clean up was a breeze! Nothing stuck to the popper, not even granulated sugar! HERE ARE THE RECIPES FOR THE 5 DIFFERENT BATCHES: #1: NO OIL. 1/4 C Kernels + 1/8 tsp Kosher Salt. Stir salt with kernels before popping. The popcorn was very good, similar to air popped, but a lighter texture. #2: OIL 1/4 C Kernels + 1/8 tsp Kosher Salt +1 TBS Canola Oil Stir all the ingredients together in the popper before popping. This batch was TO DIE FOR!!!! All the kernels popped and the popcorn had a buttery taste with a hint of saltiness. #3: Oil + Wilton Butter Flavoring 1/4 C Kernels + 1/8 tsp Kosher Salt +1 TBS Canola Oil +1/8 tsp Wilton Butter Flavoring Add all the ingredients into the popper and stir them with a spoon before popping. This batch had a really buttery flavor with the perfect amount of salt. My family devoured this batch and wanted more! #4 Kettle Corn. 1/4 C Kernels + 1/8 tsp Kosher Salt +1 TBS Canola Oil + 1/8 tsp Wilton Butter Flavoring + 1TBS + 1 tsp Granulated White Sugar Add all the ingredients into the popper and stir them with a spoon to evenly coat, before popping. This was sooooooooo GOOD!!!!! This Popcorn TASTED EXACTLY LIKE KETTLE CORN that you would purchase at a fair!!! Just let the popped corn cool a minute before touching; the sugar gets hot. #5 SPLENDA KETTLE CORN: THE BEST!!!!!!!! AS GOOD AS "REAL SUGAR" VERSION!!! 1/4 C Kernels + 1/8 tsp Kosher Salt +1 TBS Canola Oil + 1/8 tsp Wilton Butter Flavoring + 6 (tsp sized) packages of Splenda Mix the Splenda with all the ingredients before popping. This was as good as the batch made with sugar(batch #4)! In fact, you could not distinguish a difference in taste between the two!!! EXCELLENT KETTLE CORN!!!!! THIS WAS THE EASIEST/FASTEST POPPER to use. Clean up was 2 seconds, and the POPCORN was FANTASTIC!!! DEFINITELY 10 STARS!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! IF YOU LOVE POPCORN, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!! I forgot to mention: the popper collapses down in size for easy storage - added bonus!! UPDATE to review: 7/30/2015 I was so IMPRESSED with this popcorn popper that I ordered 2 more! I sent one to each of my children & they loved it!!!

Richtig! Garnicht. Also wieder zum teuren Mikrowellen-Popcorn gegriffen. Also bestellt und inzwischen mehrfach ausprobiert.

Rekommenderas men kolla måtten.
