HomeMedics Shiatu Back Massager: It's very easy to use straight out of the box, after removing the stabiliser screw at the back of the massager. It gives a firm massage, which may feel too much for some, but can be modified by placing a towel over the 'massage roller' section. It gives a really good massage, relieving back pain and muscle tightness very quickly. Although having tight muscles massaged can be a bit painful at first, it has been so worth using it. After just two massages, my back pain had reduced significantly. The massage rollers reach from base of spine to top of shoulders in someone who's 5' 8" (180cm). The heat from it is warming but not too hot. There is some operating noise, but not unpleasant/too much. It's worth the money and does a really good job.

OK, so I have tried a few of these in the past all of which have not really hit the mark. I sat on one recently in a shop and fell in love with it but the price so I decided to look again on good old Amazon, bless it! After ready reviews I settled on this one. Generally, I love it so that's the main headline of this review. The Good Points Heat is strong and relaxing Demo on remote is useful action of the massage is very good Quality of build is good Comes with a headrest and cover for the back (I don't use this as it tends to dull the effect. Adjust stop height. (This was not clear at first but you can set an upper limit at which the unit stops up your back and starts moving back down. This is useful if as when it goes between the shoulders and neck, it's effectually wasted effect. You are able to set a point where you want the massage and have the unit stop moving up and down so you can concentrate on a particular spot The Not so good. There are side pads at the bottom of the seat, much like a sports seat in a car. I am not a big person at all, in fact I probably more on the skinny side. WHY OH WHY, are they so big? You feel as though you are squeezed in between them. It;s not a showstopper, but either make them wider. softer adjustable. For me, the seat is too low or the massage effect does do go low enough, depending on how you see it. I have to put a cushion or 2 or on the seat first. This then gives a good massage on the lower back. Also, in case you are interested, this unit is mains only but does work off a small inverter so you can use it on a 12v supply if required. I tried this for the car but no way is it suitable for that. Gave it a go though!! Not a negative this but it is quite big so its easy to think about storing somewhere else however, out of sight is out of mind. All in all, a good purchase, thanks

This is my 3rd Homedics massage chair going way back to the last century. They are strong, well built and last such a long time. I use mine every day. It's part of my morning routine from when I get up. I have it in a comfortable chair and while I'm having my first cup of coffee I have one session on the whole of my back and then one session on just the lower part of my back. This sets me up for the day. I haven't seen a chiropractor for years and I put it down to this massager. Sometimes after an afternoon in the garden I may just have an extra session to help relax me. There are a lot of cheap limitations on the market but, you only get what you pay for. Homedics is the only one for me.

Initially, looked complicated to set up. The plug wire is about 6 feet long, so an extension socket may be necessary. The instructions on paper & remote control seemed complicated & were hard to see, as small text, but the Demo button was really helpful. The seat felt too narrow, & I had to adjust my position to get my lower back snugged in, & my spine in the right place. Once I'd used the Demo button, & adjusted the massage area & my position, it was ace, despite being a bit painful! After a few minutes, I was worried it would end too soon, being restricted to 15 min per session by the instructions & auto-cut-off. It really does feel like someone is professionally giving my back a thorough deep going over, & I realised there were more painful spots than I expected; but the massage gradually diminished the pain, it certainly seems effective. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's session already! I bought it on recommendation by my McTimoney chiropractor, & after one try-out, I am very pleased with it. It isn't comfortable to sit in when not operating, so it's parked on a spare chair at the moment, in its plastic bag. A suitable storage space is necessary, to avoid wet spills & pet fur etc. The delivery box is too big to use, but the massager was very well packed. Update, 4 days later, I 've noticed I'm finding it a lot easier to bend my back, as in getting under boundary ropes, dressing etc..

After seeing the video review thought I’d order the 2 in 1 which was more expensive. Initially I liked it all singing and dancing but after using it came to realise it wasn’t All that , It states massages shoulders nodules only went up to under shoulder blade if you are shorter then I suppose it would come up higher, stated 4 vibration modes but only 3. Massage whilst comfortable was not deep enough. Only 2 Speeds could do with an intensity mode for massages. Detachable neck and shoulder massager had to be switched on by pressing button on top but not by the remote same with heat took me a while to figure this out. I found the seat uncomfortable tried a cushion but this made it worse hence 3 Stars. Lead in remote could be slightly longer. Good quality easy to use. Didn’t have it long enough to advise on durability. Nice but not for me returned it same day.

I've had a couple of these over the past 10 years as yes they do wear out. that said they last a while even when I'm using one several times a day at my desk. I know some people find them too hard, I did at first until however putting an old sweatshirt over it and feeding the strap through the arms softens it down until you can cope with the harsher feel of the massage heads

1 stern warum die Polsterung an den Seiten sie bremst den Druck der eigentlich Massage aus. Die Fernbedienung man braucht kräftige Fingernägel um diese zu bedienen und eine Lupe noch dazu. Einem Netzstecker musst ich extra noch dazu kaufen. Preis-Leistung ist ein fettgedrucktes ungenügend. Ich bereue sehr diese Matte gekauft zu haben.
