how many fish can the tank hold

I run a secondary sponge filter in mine . And currently have 6 corries and 2 blue dwarf guami .. with plants I have planted in glasses for easy maintenance. And it's all running fine water is established now and stays clean and clear. I have other tanks too . If you're new to this then I'd start off with a couple of dwarf or Honey guami as they are very easy to keep and good in a community tank . Albino corrys can be fun too but you do need 3 or more for them to be happy. And as for any tank the amount of fish is actually quite variable, there are some basic rules for recommendation size of tank for some fish etc etc . But did you ever notice or wonder why fish shops are telling you you need a far bigger tank than they are keeping the fish in ? Well here is the thing to start with they are quoting the recommended size for a fully grown fish and also for a standard filtration system in a tank that gives 4-5 water changes an hour . They can keep loads if fish in all those display tanks because their filtration system gives far more water changes an hour . So there is little or no chance of toxic build up in the water . So you can put more fish in any tank as long as your filtration system can cope, and there is obviously sensible amount of room fir them . My tanks all have those drop in sponge filters that run off an air pump in as they do really help keep the water nice .

Can someone help me out ? I was trying to set this up but I did the lid before the light and no I cannot get it off to add the rest of the stuff...

It's difficult, but it can be done. I used to take the lod off to clean the tank. Try not to pull it off in a straight line. Where the hinges ar, work them out a little at a time so that you don't break the tabs.
