I've been looking at this or Protectakote to waterproof the inside of a van. Are they more or less the same thing?

We couldn't confirm that they are the same exactly but looking at the information of both products they do seem to provide the same results. The U-Pol Raptor is a hard wearing, water-proof and durable, and would be suitable for you needs.

Can this product be applied by roller or must it be sprayed on?

This product should be sprayed on - once the hardener is added you have approximately 20-30 minutes (depending on temperature) to apply it, before it gets too sticky.

Does this work well over powdercoated items?
