I bought mine in 2016, when we lived in a second floor flat with no lift (also no car), and decided a trolley would be easier for weekly shopping than shopping bags. About Nov-Dec last year it got a hole in the bottom seam of the bag. We put one of those nylon bags with stiff sides in it and have continued to use it, because we haven't got around to looking for a replacement bag until now. I hope I do, because it would be a waste to not be able to continue using the wheel and handle part. It is sturdy, though the wheels felt a bit wobbly and precarious to begin with, they have proved tougher than the bag. We have used this trolley every week for seven years, bumping up three flights of stairs for four of those, it has been filled to the brim every time, so we have been very impressed with the quality. My only niggle would be the bit that goes over the back to be fastened, for most of the part once the bag is crammed full, it just gives up and is of no use what so ever. It holds the bag up fine when empty, so it looks nice.

Previously, ever since plastic bags were no longer free in supermarkets, I used a wheeled duffle bag for shopping. After some years it became damaged and a replacement was needed. I opted for something more suited perhaps to the specific task it was needed for, i.e. getting groceries home. As it is, hopefully, far from my time to join the ranks of the OAPs (no disrespect is intended here), especially the image of the same, I sought a bag that was sturdy yet understated. This fit the bill. This is quite a roomy bag or shopping trolley and is extremely light. After reading some of the reviews, and the cautions therein, about the white wheels, I was surprised and relieved that the wheels I received were dark grey. Therefore, when scuffed, they should not look unsightly. Regarding assembly, it was straight forward, the wheels merely push, and click if I recall, on. It was hoped that this trolley would be easy to roll up stairs and, owing to the good size circumference of the wheels, it is… one step at a time (when full). UPDATE: It is now the 8th of July 2019. So, I have had the Trolley for a year and three months. Now, one of the wheels has popped off and the attaching mechanism, if you will, appears to be damaged, therefore, it cannot be reattached. I am now faced with a question. Buy new wheels or a new Trolley? I am going for a new Trolley. Reading reviews of the replacement wheels, it seems to be somewhat pot luck if what is purchased will fit and be of satisfactory quality. In addition, the cheapest ones seem to have to worse reviews and are slightly more expensive. Also, the colour of the wheels again are mixed and tend be the white rather than grey. Needless to say, I am disappointed with this turn of events. But, I concede that the load it bore today was, perhaps, heavier than usual.

Competent light weight shopping cart. It’s significantly lighter and cheaper than others, and it’s flimsier as a result. I suspect that it won’t last long. But it’s cheap enough that you can just buy another. The bag collapses readily - it has no metal skeleton - so you can’t rely on it to protect whatever’s inside.

Absolutely brilliant, smart looking sturdy and came quicker than expected perfect height for lots of room with a pocket on side for either a water bottle etc ! Always buy Hoppa trolleys as they have never let me down and this one was an exceptionally good price so have ordered another as a stand by !

I'm a uni student that has to take the bus to get to a grocery store, and so I do my shopping for the entire week at once. It's basically impossible for me to carry all that shopping in shopping bags & drag it around from the store, to the bus stop, and then to my house. It's just unnecessary self-torture. So I was inspired by several students I've seen around with these types of shopping trolleys, having noticed that young people that have any common sense in them are no longer put off by the stereotype than only old ladies use these trolleys. It's just infinitely more practical! My roommate laughed at me for a while, but I don't care at all. This trolley is lightweight, has lots of space in it (definitely enough for weekly shopping), is very comfortable to handle, and seems to be durable. I'll see if it stands the test of time, but it seems to be well-made. It's also got the Hoppa logo on it in Comic Sans, which made me laugh so hard that I now feel strangely fond of the ridiculous trolley. I really don't understand why more people aren't using these. Why deny yourself something extremely practical just because you perceive that it's not "youthful" or "cool" enough or something? Make it cool. Own it, that's what I say. This Comic Sans trolley has become a part of my Saturday shopping outfit. Iron patches onto it if you want. Make shopping trolleys great again. The delivery was fast & it was safely packed.

I was weighing up different options, including a trolley from John Lewis which cost £100+. This is hands-down one of the best purchases I've probably ever made. If we're going away now I don't bother with a suitcase, this is way less cumbersome in my opinion. Super smooth wheels, great design and capacity, easy to move. It's been in very regular use for 9+ months and no signs of slowing down yet!

Hoppla dachte ich, während ich meinen wöchentlichen Einkauf tätigte. Und anschließend: Himmel, das Ganze wird jedes mal schwerer. Nun ja, das mag am zunehmenden Alter liegen und daran, dass man wohl auch nicht mehr der Jüngste zu sein scheint. "Hoppa", da fand ich diesen Einkaufsroller: Einer, der nicht so aussieht, als habe man die "Hello Kitty" Phase noch nicht verlassen oder stecke man entwicklungstechnisch zwischen Blümchentapete und Strickmustern fest. Überzeugt hat mich sofort das Fassungsvolumen von 40 Litern, die Möglichkeit, den Trolley zusammenklappen zu können - und das geringe Gewicht des Systems. Das ganze Produkt wirkt, als sei es für Geschäftsreisen gemacht und so professionell kann man damit auch einkaufen. Einmal zusammengebaut (die Räder müssen links und rechts mit einem Schlag fixiert werden), stand er nun da und war, nun ja, fertig für den Einkauf. Anfängliche Befürchtungen, der Griff könnte zu tief liegen, zerstreuten sich sofort, denn für mich (über 1,80m) war er hoch genug, um ihn hinter sich her zu ziehen. Und zwar aufrecht und nicht wie Quasimodo in gebückter Haltung bzw. einem permanent in die Hacken stoßenden Einkaufswagen hinter sich zu wissen. Klasse bemessen und dimensioniert! Und das Fassungsvermögen ist enorm: Man kann problemlos 6 (sechs!) Sixpacks hineinpacken und hat hernach immer noch genügend Platz für einen Sack Kartoffeln, 1kg Möhren, den Schweinsbraten und andere Kleinigkeiten. Hintergrund des Einkaufs: Ich hatte Freunde zum gemeinsamen Schmaus eingeladen, da braucht es schon größere Mengen beim Einkauf. Um es kurz zu machen: Der Trolley nahm alles klaglos auf , was auch an der stabilen Tasche und der robusten Konstruktion liegen mag. Und er ließ sich problemlos hinter sich her ziehen. Was will man mehr, von solch einer Hilfe? Gefühlte 30kg im Gepäck zog ich damit nach Hause und war begeistert, wie leichtfüßig das ging. Denn die Hartplastikräder sind schlau konstruiert (sie bilden im Querschnitt ein V) und reduzieren den Rollwiderstand damit maximal möglich. Mag sein, dass es irgendwann Abrieb gibt aber ich denke, dass wird noch dauern. Die Einkauftasche ist kippstabil, hält eine Menge Gewicht aus, selbst wenn sie kaum etwas wiegt. Und im Anschluss, nach getaner Arbeit, klappt man das gute Stück zusammen und stellt es platzsparend in eine Nische. Fazit: Klare Kaufempfehlung für den Hoppa
