Braun Silk-pil FG1100 Bikini Styler with 4 Extras, White

This is actually the second time I'm buying this product. I had my first Braun Bikini Styler for about 7 years. That's seven years of frequent use, of taking it with me on vacation, of accidentally dropping it on the floor etc. I can assure you that this is one really durable product. It comes with two trimmer combs (for 8mm and 5 mm trims) but I also use it without a comb for a clean shave, though you have to be somewhat careful when doing this, especially when the trimmer is brand-new. Another feature is the precision trimmer head (supposedly also for eyebrows, but to be honest I've never used it).I have sensitive skin that tends to develop a rush when I use depilatory creams or razors and of course waxing or epilators are completely out of the question. For me this little gadget is a good solution to the problem of year-round trimming of the bikini area: it's quick, it's painless, it does not irritate my skin and it doesn't need any particular maintenance.

This bikini styler comes with several attachments of varying lengths/sizes to trim/style as desired. Works great at removing hair 'down there' and even comes with an array of stickers so you can shave shapes (for example a love heart/) if it's your thing :PIn terms of smoothness, it doesn't give you the complete sleekness you get from a wet razor, however it comes with no pain/cuts and in my case at least, absolutely no shaving rash!!This is a great product for women who just want to touch up their bikini line quickly or want to create a whole new look. However, if you are looking for a shaver which delivers that silky soft feeling and complete removal of hair then I suggest using a wet razor. The result this razor gives you is typically how your skin feels the day after a shave.Overall a decent product and the battery life is pretty good.

I've had previous bikini stylers but have often found them quite chunky and clumsy - this one is slim and lightweight and trims perfectly. Its small size makes it very good for when traveling also. The small head is very useful and I wouldn't go back to my previous model over this. It's reasonably priced at around 15 pounds.I understand what other reviewers have mentioned bout the cheap, plastic feel of the product, however I don't view this as a problem - it's not like it is something that sits on show in the bathroom! The challenge will be to see how long the trimmer lasts - time will tell!

Absolute rubbish. After having a very similar style shaver by Veet, I was confident it would be a perfect replacement. I was very wrong. The first minute I started shaving it all seemed fine, then the blade completely stopped working and ended up just pulling at all my hairs. I am left very uncomfortable and sore!!! For the price and the well known brand, I was expecting a good little device. Extremely frustrated, especially as I am in pain from it was well!!This is a very honest review. I don’t know if I was just unlucky and got a faulty device but I am very much put off! I guess my search to find a decent shaver continues 🙄😡

I don't often write reviews but I felt compelled to write one for this item Braun Silk Epil Bikini Styler White.I was very excited about receiving this item, and the service was perfect.The item however was not.The first time I used the styler (following the few instructions in the guide booklet) I questioned whether it had been tested on Bikini hair (anything thicker or more wiry than head hair really). The styler caught my hair 5 times pulling the hair out and making me bleed, this was very painful and not very nice looking. I never cut myself with an ordinary razor head, and the styler also did not leave the skin smooth like an ordinary razor. It also seemed to become quite jammed by hair/skin very quickly. I did use the 2 comb guides which were much better to cut the hair to a uniform length. The size and style of the unit are also very well made, given the nature of the product.I contacted amazon for a return and refund and as of now have been promised a full refund within the next few days. However, I do not have to return the item to receive the refund so I may brave it again.

I got this because I was tired of getting irritated bumps from shaving, and my skin really dislikes hair removal creams, even if they're made for sensitive areas. This does the job great, I use the 5mm trimmer and it gets the everything neat and tidy. Maintenance is easy, I can do it in 3-4 minutes. And it also comes with a few silly stickers, if that's more your fancy.

Great item and was great the first two times I used it but then on the third occasion it stopped working. I thought it might be the battery but changed that and still didn't work. I then disconnected the head part and reconnected and it then appeared to work however the actual shaver bit wasn't moving/working. Contacted Amazon and a replacement is on its way. Hopefully the replacement doesn't break too!

I used this for a few years before until it stopped working after a couple of years, but then changed to another brand cheaper, the product stopped working after a while and I bought another one thinking that maybe there was a problem with the first, well... no! so after two fails, I bought this one again and I'm very happy with it. We'll see how long it last.
